What EMS Is Watching ... "High For This" x @SidSriram (original by The Weeknd)
Every time this guy gets in front of a mic, he just gets doper and doper. I caught this over on Facebook and I have to say, I was all the way excited. I got introduced to Sid Sriram by listening to his cover of "We All Try" which was simple and gorgeous with a piano accompaniment. NOW with his new cover of The Weeknd's "High For This," Sriram goes all out! The strings, the drums... everything. Dude definitely has talent. Only thing I wish is that I could've been in the room witnessing all this. Could you imagine?
Enjoy.

Roman Austin "916 Chilling"
There's something I really dig about this track from Roman Austin out of Sacramento, California. He takes on the unlikely "The Ascension" from Maxwell and lays bars over it. It definitely has that West Coast sound and it's fresh. Enjoy.

What I'm Watching: Ni Taylor "No Prisoners"
Ni Taylor lays down some solid verses on "No Prisoners", produced by J. Rhodes. The track has this old school chill vibe to it, as Ni Taylor drops heartfelt lyrics reflecting on Hip-Hop and her role in the genre. Solid. I dig it. Hit play and enjoy. Chea!

The Eddie Murphy Beat Tape
Another solid offering from FreshNerd, this time taking on Eddie Murphy's solo album. I've been vibing to this joint on and off since it dropped yesterday. Sit back and enjoy some solid beats and some classic comedy. Chea!
This was a bit of a challenge to say the least. For those of you that have not heard Eddie's debut album 'How Could It Be', its a treat. The way he goes from gospel driven tunes to "Party All the Time" with Rick James is magical (Stevie Wonder even co-wrote several songs on here)....which leaves one to wonder if Eddie was serious or not with this release. Either way, he couldn't escape FreshNerd's chopping board.
Not only did Fresh chop the sh*t out of this record properly turning each song into a forehead bangin' beat, but as well some clips from Eddie's classic standup 'Raw' and some explicit bars to start off the tape from Orlando up and comer (originally from Michigan), Joose.

What I'm Watching: Cee Lo Green "Cry Baby"
Stephon as Cee Lo Green? Oh. That's believable (and by believable I mean not at all). At least that brother is getting work. Right? Ha! Check out the visuals for "Cry Baby". By the way, what year does Cee Lo think it is?

Melanie Fiona "4am"
Why would you break Melanie Fiona's heart? Damn. Got her sitting up at 4am waiting for some ain't shit dude to return home. That's a shame. Mel, call a brother and let's figure out your heartbroken situation. I mean, you're pouring out your heart to some negro who's probably out with a dancer while we could be pouring out a glass of wine with some cheese and crackers. I'm high class. Allegedly, of course. Ha! Anyway, check out the latest from Fiona off her upcoming The MF Life, due out October 25. In the meantime, feel her pain.
