What I'm Watching: ¡MAYDAY! - "On That Jack"

"Bottles in moderation, is not my operation / I rock parties for a livin', that's my occupation / But I'm not even sure what genre we claim / Too many styles for my own good, got mama to blame / I like rock & roll, hip-hop, soul, funk, and rhythm / But they can't tell where we livin', so um, fuck the critics."

Better late than never, right?! ¡MAYDAY! giving me the visuals to that track you play when you ready to get that drink on, ya know!!!

Oddisee - "Nothing Has A Never"

"Well, if I could do nothing for something, that would be great / but doing something for nothing is more likely the case / (???) call it freelancing, instead of a lack of pay / listen, I don't give a fuck what you say / cut the check."

What can I say about dude that hasn't been said on here. Dopeness. This track is from the Mandala Vol. 1, Polysonic Flows by Mello Music Group and it features a plethora talented individuals. And as I type this out, I literally just bought the entire joint. Can't go wrong for that price for 20 tracks. Boom!™

Mr. J. Medeiros - "Forenoon"

"I’m afraid of what she means to me / I’m ashamed of how mean I can be / I bow scene after scene / I’m proud, being like me is loud / Defending a cloud /Pretending that I’m seen by a crowd,"

Mr. J. Medeiros, an emcee with intense poetic ability, gives us nothing short of amazing with "Forenoon" and my ears are in enjoyment.

Moteleola "Call Me"

I sent the UK homie Moteleola Aretha Franklin's 'Call Me' a few months back. It kicked around my inbox for a few months. That was until two days ago when I had the idea to use it as the cornerstone of an Aretha sample driven beat tape featuring some super talented beat makers. So, consider this the first taste of the project presented by Throat Chop Music and TheMadBloggers.com. And since I don't believe in release dates, the full project drops when it drops. In the meantime, enjoy Call Me. Chea!
