RUSTY P'S - "Frequency" (ft. Evan Christian)
This joint here....this joint right here...woooooooo! Dangerous. That break your neck, jump on the dance floor, do a headspin, wild the hell out kinda music from Milwaukee's own Rusty P's and Evan. The energy that I get off this track is extremely considerable and the cuts you hear just adds to that as well. Overall, "Frequency" so Hip-Hop and it'll be on repeat for a while. Peep it.

RoQ'y TyRaiD - MAD! (prod. by Fons Infinite)
RoQ'y comes through with another mind awakening, thought provoking, passionate joint that makes you want to jump out your seat and make some damn changes. Word up. Fons Infinite hooked him up with perfectly matched production to go with the intricate and expressive lyrics RoQ'y spits. Check out what the homie gotta say about his latest and hit play after.
This is about turning social network-based political commentary into action. You don't have to get in the middle of a damn crowd and hold a picket sign, no disrespect, but you don't have to wear a hoodie. All you have to do is be aware and remove political complacency from your life. Sometimes it takes a ballot, sometimes it takes a donation or two, whether it be money or time, sometimes it DOES take sparking conversation with peers and those within political bodies. But you have to get motivated to do SOMETHING, literally ANYTHING, at this point. Life is bigger than Love & Hip-Hop or which rapper is calling out the next. Those things are entertaining but when it's all said and done, you have yourself, your family, and your own freedom. Aren't you tired of things such as the Syria lies?? You are?? GET MAD!!! We CAN be a responsible society, youth!

What I'm Watching: Oddisee - "After Thoughts"
Zone out music. Oddisee never disappoints.
Oddisee - The Beauty In All. Directed by Grégoire Marty
Take a kaleidoscopic journey through the memories that float in our mind's eye in this new video from Oddisee. The song "After Thoughts" is a haunting and wistful instrumental that reminisces through an assortment of days in dreamlike fashion. After Thoughts is from Oddisee's upcoming instrumental project (his first since Rock Creek Park) titled "The Beauty In All".
About "The Beauty In All."
"The Beauty In All is about the flaws & mistakes that give life its character and worth - how even ignorance can give light to knowledge. For me, not knowing how to do something & still trying is a process that helped my production style evolve. If everything we are is out in perfect tutorials, we might never deviate from the teacher. This record is dedicated to imperfection and the sense of pride & accomplishment we get from our struggles. Hopefully, you listen to this record, reflect on the ups & downs of life, and see the beauty in all."
