"When I Was Your Man" x Bruno Mars on Jimmy Kimmel Live
I've quickly started becoming a HUGE fan of Bruno Mars as of late. I liked his album Doo-Wops & Hooligans, but it wasn't until I heard Unorthodox Jukebox, that I became a fan for life. Hearing his performance of "When I Was Your Man" on Jimmy Kimmel Live just made it that much easier. Enjoy.

What I'm Watching: "Remember Me" x Daley feat. Jessie J
What in the holy banana pants? Is he a unicorn? This is some of the dopest R&B music I've heard in a good minute. Granted that this was released in October of last year (and I'm mad late), it doesn't matter. We previously highlighted Daley on the blog last May, and he continues to impress.
Featuring Jessie J, check out Daley's latest, "Remember Me"...

Black Thought x J. Period – “Rage Is Back (Freestyle)”
Whenever J. Period and Black Thought get to working together, it's literally and figuratively music to my ears. These dudes got chemistry that's hard to find when they collaborate. Black Thought blesses Nas' classic NY State of Mind beat and if there's anyone that's qualified lyrically, it's definitely Mr. Trotter. Peep the info behind this project and hit play after.
Celebrating the release of Adam Mansbach's acclaimed new novel, Rage Is Back, J.PERIOD recruits legendary Roots front man Black Thought for an exclusive new dub plate collaboration: "Rage Is Back (Freestyle)," the first single off J.PERIOD’s forthcoming “Rage Is Back” tape dropping later this month.
Set against the backdrop of graffiti-era New York, Manbach’s Rage Is Back delivers a mind-bending journey through a subterranean world of epic heroes and villains, and is already being called “the great American graffiti novel”. Rage is Back is currently Amazon.com’s “Book of the Month”: www.amazon.com/Rage-Is-Back-A-Novel

Gensu Dean & Planet Asia - "Faces On The Dollar"
Gensu Dean produce and Planet Asia enhanced "Faces On The Dollar" has a gritty and somewhat of a cinematic feel to this and it just works. I could definitely hear an entire album from these two if they ever decide to collaborate. Peep this track and see what's the deal.

What I'm Watching: Sean Price - "Genesis of the Omega"
Price Bunyan is out kidnapping and rapping. Video is quick and has a bit of a hilarious ending.
In Sean Price's words, "The Genesis of the Omega sounded better than the start of the ending. I was trying to be slick with the words. The Genesis, you know that's the beginning of The Bible. The Omega, that's the end. On some punk shit...I read too many comic books."
