@KirbyLauryen's A Song A Day: Day 129
I respect Kirby's ability to not only consistently maintain writing, recording and posting great music daily, but to always keep some sort of fresh hairstyle with all that damn hair of hers. Neither seems to be the easiest of tasks. But Kirby gets it done. Ha! Enjoy her latest song in the A Song A Day series. And be sure to share it with the world.

Logic & Raze "Kites"
Logic & Raze are a damn creative duo. I'm gonna let the homie JC Poppe do the intro here but what I will say is this is a pretty damn dope track. I dig it. Enjoy. Chea!
If you are a fan of music, I'm sure that you have come across the fantastic track by The Violent Femmes called "Blister in the Sun."via JC Poppe
The Femmes,who are from the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area have left a strong legacy of tunes that are ingrained not only in the culture of Wisconsin but in the culture of alternative music everywhere.
In an attempt to pay homage to the great alt group, Milwaukee duo Logic & Raze have re-interpreted the song and modernized it for a whole new generation.
Their original take on the classic is called "Kites" and contains all of the great qualities of the original track while giving it a unique bend for those who embrace both the hip-hop and alternative rock cultures, and has been released today!
Even more basically, if "Blister" made you/makes you dance, then "Kites" is definitely going to make you dance.

What I'm Watching: G-Eazy "Marilyn" feat. Dominique LeJeune
I like G-Eazy. Even as his popularity continues to grow, the dude definitely comes off with a great deal of humility that is often lost in Hip-Hop. I respect that. Fresh off of some college dates and shows with A$AP Rocky, he's gearing up for more big things this year including the Van's Warped Tour. And as a lead up to a big summer, G-Eazy drops off the video for the Dominique LeJeune assisted self produced cut, Marilyn, directed by Tyler Yee. I dig it. Keep your eye out for more from G-Eazy but in the meantime, enjoy the vid. Chea!

Childish Gambino "Fuck Your Blog" feat. Flynt Flossy & Yung Humma
Pic by Brian Tremml |
Yeah, fuck your blog and this one too. Matter of fact, fuck wordpress, tumblr, blogger, your domain registration and hosting site. While you're at it, fuck your blog's couch. Ha! Word has it this is an unfinished track from three guys most folks don't take seriously anyway and perhaps that's why they want you to fuck your blog if you don't respect their reach. Hilarious.

Kay of The Foundation & Donwill of Tanya Morgan - "Fly Guys With Glasses"
"I'm so fly with my glasses. On point, on time with my glasses." Two out of three ain't too bad for me considering I'm almost always late somewhere but this might be my theme music for a while whenever I'm rocking my glasses. Haha. This new joint with Kay and Donwill is damn dope. H-Town and The Nati reppin' effectively on this track. Got me hitting the rewind button a few times. Hit play and watch you'll do the same. Oh, and don't forget to say no to color contacts. Haha!
