It's been a while since we've had any new music from B.I.C. (Bitches is Crazy). So it's good to hear the Chuk produced W2ORK from the NYC crew. Look out for the new EP due out 4/20. In the meantime enjoy the track.

@KirbyLauryen's A Song A Day: Day 65

I've listened to this song a dozen times since last night. It's one of my new favorites from Kirby Lauryen's A Song A Day series. I'm not sure if it's her vocals on this track or the lyrics that pulls me in. Maybe it's a combination of both. And as she takes you home with the piano and vocal riff at the end, she turns to the camera as she often does with a smile to seal the deal. A beautiful song. Enjoy.

Soul Khan "Wellstone" feat. Akie Bermiss (Prod. by Deejay Element)

"In a historical moment fraught with inequality, war and oppression, we could use a few more politicians like Paul Wellstone, a U.S. Senator from the state of Minnesota whose legacy of genuine populism and grassroots action still resonates with civically-engaged idealists a decade after his tragic death in a 2002 plane crash." -DJBooth.net

Soul Khan is one of my favorite emcees. He's so dynamic and dope. Honestly, I haven't met a Soul Khan track I didn't like, and the title cut Wellstone off of his new EP is no different. There's so much depth to his music. Look out for the EP via DJBooth.net on March 12th. In the meantime enjoy the Akie Berniss assisted Deejay Element produced cut. Chea!
