@KirbyLauryen's A Song A Day: Day 65
I've listened to this song a dozen times since last night. It's one of my new favorites from Kirby Lauryen's A Song A Day series. I'm not sure if it's her vocals on this track or the lyrics that pulls me in. Maybe it's a combination of both. And as she takes you home with the piano and vocal riff at the end, she turns to the camera as she often does with a smile to seal the deal. A beautiful song. Enjoy.

Soul Khan "Wellstone" feat. Akie Bermiss (Prod. by Deejay Element)
"In a historical moment fraught with inequality, war and oppression, we could use a few more politicians like Paul Wellstone, a U.S. Senator from the state of Minnesota whose legacy of genuine populism and grassroots action still resonates with civically-engaged idealists a decade after his tragic death in a 2002 plane crash." -DJBooth.net
Soul Khan is one of my favorite emcees. He's so dynamic and dope. Honestly, I haven't met a Soul Khan track I didn't like, and the title cut Wellstone off of his new EP is no different. There's so much depth to his music. Look out for the EP via DJBooth.net on March 12th. In the meantime enjoy the Akie Berniss assisted Deejay Element produced cut. Chea!

NEW RELEASE: Big K.R.I.T. "4Eva N A Day"
At this point in the day, I hope you've downloaded this project. If not, consider this your warning and another opportunity to do so. Earlier today Big K.R.I.T. set the Internets on fire with the self-produced free project 4Eva N A Day. Following the success of his previous projects, K.R.I.T unleashes yet another freebie on the world, sure to show up on every year end list. After so many quality projects for free, I hope folks are gonna support in large numbers when he finally drops the retail.

What I'm Watching: RAtheMC "Coming to the Stage"
RAtheMC back. With new music off of her upcoming The Grace Jones Experiment, the DMV representative lays fire to her new track Coming to The Stage (directed by Jay Dexter Media and produced by Jay Fresh Kicks). Her team is calling it, "homage to RAtheMc’s new found career freedom and is a celebration to the year of success that is ahead for the Female MC." I can dig it. I'm definitely looking forward to the new music. The Grace Jones Experiment due out March 27th. Chea!
