NEW RELEASE: TheSeKondElement "The Fall From Love: Alpha"

TheSeKondElement returns with a new project. Released last week, she continues a mean streak of putting out quality music. I dig the new work. I'll let her explain the back story to The Fall From Love. Enjoy. Chea!
The Fall From Love is not a mixtape. I wouldn't even call it an album. The Fall From Love is an audio journal complemented by music. Each track is another entry; each entry chronicles a journey that is at the core a universal shared experience. We've all been through it: the fall from love, the fall from grace, the fall from favor, eminence, losing faith, & finding it again.

NEW RELEASE: ScholarMan "Worth Fighting For"

The homie ScholarMan serves up his eighth retail alum. Another solid offering from the Maryland emcee. I could go into depth about ScholarMan's new project but I'll let his words speak for themselves. Enjoy. Chea!
"Worth Fighting For is a testament to the many years of toil I have put in to not only building my craft but also growing and improving as a man and a father. The title of the album represents a question as well as a statement – are your dreams worth fighting for? Your dreams ARE worth fighting for. With that said, this album is another building block within my own struggle as an independent artist. As Talib Kweli once said, my struggle has been a “beautiful one.” I don’t have any regrets with the amount of blood, tears and sweat that I have put into my dream. As always this album contains my ups, downs, loves, opinions and more. I hope you enjoy my latest and greatest. Thanks for the support."

e.d.g.e. "George Orwell" (Prod. by Madden Miles)

I love when I introduce dope people to each other and they forge a creative relationship and push out fresh results. That's the case with e.d.g.e. and Madden Miles. The two worked on a TMB track and link up again on George Orwell. Solid production from Miles, accompanied by great rhymes from e.d.g.e. You can feel the chemistry. Hit play and enjoy this one. Chea!

What I'm Watching: Ravaughn Brown - "Same Ol' BS"

A little R&B musical therapy from a newcomer named Ravaughn Brown for those that are going through what seems like relationship déjà vu.

Download: The BenchWarmers Clique - "The Adventures in 8bit: Cartridge 1" (Free)

The Benchwarmers Clique, consisting of South Florida's Joka Wild and Travisty the Lazy MC, drops this interesting and nostalgia inducing album "The Adventures in 8bit: Cartridge 1". Going through the album track by track, I'm sitting over trying to figure out what game is sampled in the tracks I'm listening too. Pretty cool idea to make an album with the idea of using old video game sounds throughout the whole joint. The entire project was produced by Jewbei. We posted the video a few days ago and I finally got the chance to check out the album and post it here for you folks. Download it, it's free. Enjoy.

DTMD - "Raw" feat. Godly MC & Kev Brown (Oddisee Remix)

Oddisee gets his hands on what was an already good track by DTMD that features Godly MC and Kev Brown and puts his own twist to it. Can't go wrong either way.

Dunson "Count On It"

Serving as one of my favorite hip-hop artists over the last year with his impressive and lively sophomore album Creative Destruction 2, Dunson is back with his freshest cut, "Count On It" off the fittingly titled upcoming project The Investment. I remember when I first heard one of Dunson's songs, and all I could think was, "who is this guy?" I was taken aback because it has become so extremely rare that an artist puts together such a solid body of work where not one song can be skipped. My hat is off to him, and I'm looking forward to keeping up with his rapidly blooming career.

Just in case you're not familiar with his story, it's pretty cool. So, check it out and enjoy the song:
"Dunson resigned from his career as an investment advisor to become a full-time artist in 2010. After spending a multitude of years playing in bands of different genres, the Maryland native took the chance to become a solo artist focusing on lyrics and production. He has since amassed a receptive, global fan-base, proven through hundreds of thousands of downloads of his self-produced Creative Destruction series, among other projects and collaborations."

Pharoh "Jungle Fever"

"Pharoh's Palestinian lineage combined with his Atlanta and Chicago swagger create an world sound that reflects itself in his rapid-fire flow, and Middle Eastern inspired production. "

ATL by way of Chicago emcee Pharoh is working on his new solo project, Jungle Fever and unleashes a look at the project with the title track. I dig it and look forward to hearing more. Shouts to SUBMiT for shooting this my way. Enjoy.
