What I'm Watching: Lance Drummonds & Adeline "Your Precious Love"
The homie Lance Drummonds is gearing up for his new project, A Cover Story, inspired by his passion for R&B classics. According to Drummonds, the compilation will feature timeless tracks, drawing from the work of Marvin Gaye, Babyface and more. Definitely looking forward to it. In the meantime, enjoy the first offering from the project featuring the beautiful voice of Adeline. Drummonds and Adeline take on the Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell classic, Your Precious Love. Solid rendition. Enjoying what they bring vocally here. Hit play and enjoy. Chea!

Jazz "Perfect Picture"
A few days ago after reaching out to us via twitter, I received some music from Jazz, an NJ emcee. I'll be honest, and I've said it before, we receive more music than we can possibly find the time to listen to but for whatever reason I hit play on the four tracks Jazz sent over. You could definitely hear the talent. I felt Perfect Picture was the strongest of the group she sent and so I'll share that cut with you. If you dig it, you can hear more over at soundcloud.com/rookieofthey3ar. Look out for her project Grand Entrance coming this year. In the meantime, enjoy Perfect Picture.

What I'm Watching: Shane Eli "When We Were Kings"
With an email subject that reads, "Fuck Valentine's Day", Shane Eli caught my attention. So, in the midst of all these Valentine's Day projects, the L.A. artist/producer releases the visuals for the heavy and heartfelt When We Were Kings track off his I Can Do Better project. I dig it. Hit play and enjoy. Chea!

What I'm Watching: Kirby Lauryen - "That Should Be Me" (A Song A Day - 44)
A few weeks ago, I came across Kirby Lauryen and her "A Song A Day" challenge. Although I'm still getting to know her music, I can definitively say she's quickly becoming one of my favorites this year. Her voice is beautiful, mellifluous and her lyrics are raw and honest. Check out one of her latest, "That Should Be Me."
Enjoy.

So, Whitney kicks off and ends ep 105 with her incredible vocals, accompanied by music from new projects from Brown Bag AllStars and JohnNY U, plus many other solid tracks. Hit play and enjoy. And as always, I hope this helps kick off your week. Chea!
