What I'm Watching: DTMD - "Raw" (feat. Godly MC, Kev Brown)

Off their debut album "Makin' Dollas" that dropped late in 2011 on Mello Music Group, DTMD drops the visuals to one of their favorite tracks. "Raw" is a dope ass track. Production is sick and Toine show and proves on the mic with no effort. Godly MC and Kev Brown comes through on the track and both don't disappoint. Check it.

What I'm Watching: @SidSriram - "For All We Know" (original by Donny Hathaway) Dir. by @ImArthurJohnson

Sid Sriram. I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that Sid earned my respect a long time ago. He is probably, hands down, the number 1 artist I've enjoyed discovering the most over the past 12 months. After releasing multiple covers and easily outshining the original artist as well as putting out his own EP Be Easy; The Acoustic Sessions, Sriram has yet again impressed me with probably his best and most heartfelt cover ever done; one of my favorites from Donny Hathaway, "For All We Know."

It's simple. Not overstated. Purely beautiful, raw and passionate. So, not only does he have my respect, he has become, for me, one of the most appreciated artists I've ever heard. Well done, my friend.

Enjoy.

Jass Bianchi - The Sponsor "HER" Campaign

Talented and creative emcee Jass Bianchi is trying to release her next project soon but this time, she'd like your help. You can read a little about here here and after you visit the site where she explains more on this project. Check it.

SONY told her to quit college, and loose weight.
Sean Combs said she should calm down her lyrics...

In an industry heavily influenced by masculinity, Jass Bianchi steps up to the plate. Her Debut Album H.E.R. is in response to legendary Chicago based rapper Common's 1994 hit "I used to love H.E.R."

This album will showcase the dexterity, beauty, and point of view of women both universally and within the realm of the hip-hop industry.

Your donation will be used to provide the proper mixing & mastering, recording, and live instrumentation needed to make the vision possible.

Both men and women often complain about the false representation/selective representation of women in the hip-hop industry. Now is your chance to change that.

What I'm Watching: De La Soul's Plug 1 & Plug 2 present First Serve - "Must B The Music"

This new album seems like it's gonna be a step to the left from what I'm sued to from these dudes but I'm willing to give it a chance. I actually like this track which was produced by Chokalate & Khalid, less the chorus, but it's good nonetheless. Check out the video directed Matt Stawski by and let us know what you think.

First they brought you 'The Goon Time Mixtape' blasting from a late-night house party in a Parisian suburb.  Then we saw our heroes getting endless grief from Deen's overbearing mother in the Mrs. Whitter skit.  That was all just a taste of things to come from De La Soul's Plug 1 & Plug 2 present 'First Serve'; a dynamic hip-hop group, an album, a concept, the soundtrack to a movie that has yet to be made and a fable for our times.

'First Serve' is many things, but at its heart it is the story of two young boys from Queens, New York with big dreams and larger rhymes. Two friends, Deen Whitter (aka Plug 2 / Dave) and Jacob 'Pop Life' Barrow (aka Plug 1/ Pos), friends from seventh grade, are by their own admission, "different, but the differences seem to complement everything we do." Their name 'First Serve' comes from their motto, "First come, First Serve, get what you deserve."
