ScienZe x JohnNY U. "Mother Nature's Daughter" (Prod. Clint Partie)
Let's be real. I saw the artwork before I heard the track. I was stuck on that for a minute. Ha! But I'm also obviously digging the track too. I mean, you can't go wrong with a beautiful black woman as cover art, assisted by a ScienZe and JohnNY U track. With Clint Partie on production, this joint is fresh out of the studio and as ScienZe writes, "(we) decided to release it to show the people that we appreciate all the support and love thus far on this voyage with music." It's solid. Hit play and enjoy. Chea!

Mica Parris "You're Leaving" (prod. by Khalil and Tony Ozier)
It's been a good, LONG while since I've had a chance to post up another wonderful song by most recent winner of "The Girls Got Talent" competition, Mica Parris. After listening to "Wings" and now "You're Leaving," I'm excited to hear more projects from her. It's finding rare gems like these when I'm most proud to be a blogger because then I get to share the real music with all of you.
To find out more, visit her page at Reverb Nation.
And while you're checking out Mica, listen and download "You're Leaving" below. Enjoy!

e.d.g.e. "Syndication" (Prod. by Madden Miles)
As you may recall, not too long ago we teamed up with Wisconsin beat maker Madden Miles and released A Beat For You [The Donny Hathaway Beat Tape]. And now we're in the process of pulling together a vocal version of that project, featuring some TMB favorites to collab on the EP. Our Vancouver homie e.d.g.e. is the first out the gate with Syndication. As always, he serves up a solid cut. Look out for more from the tentatively titled Hathadays EP. Chea!

What I'm Watching: ScholarMan "Overview"
ScholarMan is no stranger to the site. I've enjoyed his music and the message behind it. So, it's no surprise I dig his new track off his upcoming Worth Fighting For, due out in February. Sit back and enjoy the Marques Green of Que Films directed and edited video. Chea!

ELMNT "4A WAY" feat. Slakah The Beatchild
Along with fellow Toronto native Slakah The Beatchild, ELMNT delivers up a solid cut over the FS Green produced track. With an upcoming album set to be released early 2012, 4A WAY is a nice introduction. Enjoy.

What I'm Watching: Kirby Lauryen - "Growing On Me" (A Song A Day - 19)
I've come across some great things over the past few weeks. I've just been a little slow getting them posted. Interestingly enough, a lot of them seem to be coming out of Berklee College of Music. The talent coming out of that institution is incredible. The most recent I've stumbled upon is Kirby Lauryen. Can we say, wow?! Beautiful song. And we all know how it feels to have someone gradually become apart of your life. I look forward to hearing songs from Day 1 - 18, and I also look forward to hearing everything after Day 19. With musicianship like this, the Arts will never die.
Go ahead. Click the play button. Enjoy.

Lyriciss "Big Gold Chain"
As I began to compile my own write up, I think the homie Richard over at DJBooth.net sums it up best. Definitely a dope track. Look out for The Balance EP: Money EP over at the Booth sometime today. In the meantime enjoy Big Gold Chain.
"Is it worth risking your freedom and potentially your life for a pile of cash and a "Big Gold Chain"? Crazy as the bet may seem, all-too-many inner-city youths are willing to put everything on the line for a chance to shine. On Lyriciss’ latest single, the DMV rhymesayer offers listeners a little insight into social and economic conditions that turn poverty-stricken individuals into compulsive paper-chasers, and the often dire consequences of such an addiction."

The Cranberry Show "Traffic Lights"
Those Cranberry Show boys are bad. And bad meaning good. Ha! They're an acquired taste but I fux with their music (and have for a while now). They've been gaining a lot of traction as they continuously release new music from their Milwaukee home base. With Paranormal Karaoke on the way, TCS drops Traffic Lights off the DJBooth.net and donutsandmilk.com sponsored project due out February 1st. I dig this cut. Hit play and enjoy. Chea!

Chels "The Lesson" feat. Ace Boogie
I remember the first time I heard Chels. I thought she was cool and had some potential. But there was something missing. I was very honest with her team about this. So, that's why it's so cool to see such growth in her newest cut featuring Ace Boogie off of her upcoming True School For The Moon Children (TSFTMC) project. The Lesson is exactly the potential I heard in the 19-year-old New Orleans emcee and it's dope to hear that's she's really finding and exploring her voice. I dig it. Solid cut. Chea!

MaG "Freedom"
I bumped into MaG's music while doing a write up over at DJBooth.net. I thought the dude was dope and had a fresh sound. I've been checking his music ever since. Last week he hit me with his lastest cut Freedom, off his upcoming free LP hosted by Mick Boogie and the folks over at RCRDLBL.com. Produced by Ta-Ku, this is a solid joint. Hit play and enjoy. Chea!
