What I'm Watching ... Uptown XO - "B.A.M.N."

New visuals by the homie X.O. Always appreciated when we get good Hip-Hop in the inbox. Check it.

We proudly present, the latest collaboration between D.C.'s own Uptown XO and CLCTVE, "By Any Means Necessary". Shot in the heart of Southeast, D.C. at the intersection of Martin Luther King and Malcolm X Boulevard, with additional footage shot in the notorious Georgia Avenue neighborhoods of Northwest; this latest effort represents one of the most powerful records on XO's Monumental II album.

Hip-Hop Breakfast Ep 89

I couldn't think of any other way to start this EP but with a Heavy D track. Thanks to Statik Selektah for serving up the fresh Nothin' But Love/T.R.O.Y. blend. Heavy D’s music meant a lot to my early Hip-Hop years. He was one of my early favorites. So, I had to set off EP 89 with the Overweight Lover. Also on this EP of music featured on RefinedHype and DJBooth this week is the new cut from ScienZe, the killer track from DMP and a track from Slim The Mobster's new project that dropped over at DJBooth this week ... and a lot of other dope stuff in between. Hit play and enjoy. And as always, I hope this EP helps kick off your weekend. Chea!

01. Heavy D - Nothin' But Love (Statik Selektah T.R.O.Y. Blend/Remix)
02. ScienZe - Play by Play 3.0
03. Jamal Science - The Power Of
04. Bun B - The Life
05. Rocki Evans - Vices
06. Thurz - Kids Story
07. Slim The Mobster feat. Dr. Dre and Sly - Back Against the Wall
08. DMP - To Be Loved

What I'm Watching: The Cranberry Show - Paranormal Karaoke (1.1.12)

I typically stay away from trailers for projects but when they're creative I almost feel obligated to share. Milwaukee's The Cranberry Show dropped a trailer for their upcoming project Paranormal Karaoke due out January 1, 2012. Like I said, I dig a creative approach and TCS always delivers up fresh projects. Looking forward to the new work at the top of the year. Joe Cool " Do It 2 Me"

Joe Cool delivers up another fresh self-produced track from what I assume is his upcoming project. Between the artwork and the track's content, Do It 2 Me is a winner. Hit play and enjoy this one. Chea!

J57 "Do Earth" feat. Von Pea, Charlie Smarts, Andrew Thomas & Jefferson Price

The homie J57 returns with new music from his upcoming EP, Brown Bag AllStars Present...J57: 2057. On the self-produced and arranged cut, with synths from Nick Murray, J57 brings along Von Pea (Tanya Morgan), Charlie Smarts (Kooley High), Andrew Thomas (Recess/TheClubhouse) and Jefferson Price (BBAS Crew) along for the ride. Real chill and laid back cut with a jazzy type of vibe. I dig it. Hit play and enjoy. Chea!

What I'm Watching: Stalley "330"

One of my favorite cuts off of Stalley's Lincoln Way Nights, which is now available on iTunes and Amazon, remastered by Young Guru & Tony Dawsey. In 330 Stalley pays tribute to his hometown Massillon, Ohio. Enjoy the Illusive Media directed vid. Chea!
