What I'm Watching: Big K.R.I.T. "The Vent"
Big K.R.I.T. is one of my favorite dudes making music right now. I've been waiting for this joint since I heard they were doing this video. K.R.I.T. serves up some fresh visuals for the self reflective track off Return Of 4Eva. Enjoy. Chea!

Chuuwee x Rufio "U Cartoon Foos"
U Cartoon Foo's (Produced by Ru) by Chuuwee [Rappers Jst Rap Onit] from Rufio on Vimeo.
I've said it more times than I can remember, Chuuwee is a beast. The Sacramento spitter linked up with another Sac native Rufio on his new beat tape, Rappers Jst Rap Onit, due out today to provide these visuals. Rufio is a monster on the production and Chuuwee goes off on the cut. Look out for the beat tape dropping soon and in the meantime enjoy this one. Chea!

What I'm Watching: Lance Drummonds "Long Drive"
Lance Drummonds offers up a cool video for his track Long Drive, which finds him cruising through his hometown of Elmont, Long Island and different boroughs in New York City. Real chill track and a mellow video shot in black and white with Andre Oswald behind the lens. I dig it. Enjoy.

Hip-Hop Breakfast Ep 68
It's been a week. So, I had to go off. My apologies to your speakers and eardrums in advance. Ha!
This week starts off with the Hip-Hop Breakfast intro from the homie e.d.g.e. out of Canada with a beat provided by Sauce Fonda out of Cali. It's good to know rappers and producers sometimes. Shouts to those fellas for coming through in the clutch.
Anyway, this is definitely one of my favorite eps. Turn it up. And as always, I hope this helps kick start your weekend. Enjoy. Chea!

What I'm Watching: Madame Sabrosa “Madame’s Room”
Folks have really been running with these Marv's Room remixes huh? Yep. But the dust seemed to have settled a bit and so Madame Sabrosa takes that opening to provide her own spin in Madame's Room. Fresh off her mixtape release, I dig what she did here. But, you be the judge. Enjoy.

What I'm Watching: Jill Scott “Hear My Call”
Sometimes all you need is just a single camera and some tight shots, and let the words tell the rest of the story. If you shed a tear, it's all good. Allegedly, of course. Enjoy the new video from Jill Scott for "Hear My Call."

Interview: Miss Special x Chuuwee
A few weeks ago on the (then) #WordToWoodrow radio show, we had Chuuwee on where we spoke about his newest project "Be Cool", producer Jonathan Lowell, why they chose to work together, the feel and vision behind the project, "Be Cool" part two, his work on Chuu3PO and the new milestones for him (going to NY, his shirt with Ooloo Clothing). He also spoke about the features on "Be Cool", being on a 9th Wonder production, working with Cookin' Soul, having his mom rap on this project, his promo videos, what's next for him and more.(via @MiSS1SPECiAL)

Rochelle Jordan "King A (Aaliyah Tribute)"
I was laying on my mom's couch when I received the news of Aaliyah's passing. It was '01 and I was rocking a two-way pager. Back before the days of twitter I had subscribed to news alerts and I was jolted up by the news of the crash and later of her untimely passing. Some moments in life have such vivid memories. Aaliyah's death is one of those moments. Toronto sonstress Rochelle Jordan offers up a tribute by way of Are You That Somebody. Enjoy.
"When god puts you on this earth for a purpose, nothing can stop his plan. Not even death. She blessed and touched many people world wide with not only her amazing music, but her wonderful spirit. I just wanted to pay homage to one of the few artists that influenced me musically as a child and contributed to the woman I am today." - Rochelle Jordan
