What I'm Watching: The Black Opera "Gods Camera"

"WE are ALL currently under surveillance..."

First rule about The Black Opera, you don't talk about The Black Opera. Ha!

Rob Yung "Anticipated Dreams"

The Baltimore based homie Milly Esquire hit me up with this dope new cut from Rob Yung off his upcoming mixtape due out this fall. Rob Yung lays down an ode to Hip-Hop and reflects on the Ross Munroe produced track, and the result is solid. This joint is fresh. Hit play and enjoy. Chea!

Chels "HIIIPOWER (Chels' Account)"

Chels is a New Orleans newcomer with something to say. The 19 year old female emcee has this raw energy and an old soul considering the depth of her rhymes. I dig it. She's currently working on a new project and this is just a taste from that project. Enjoy.

Big K.R.I.T. x Yelawolf "Happy Birthday Hip-Hop"

I'm a Big K.R.I.T. fan. But you should already know that. I'm also a Yelawolf fan. They're both dope emcees. Last year they announced they were cooking up a joint project and while we haven't heard much movement on that front, they released "Happy Birthday Hip-Hop" earlier today. Apparently the track will be featured on K.R.I.T.'s upcoming Last King 2: God’s Machine ahead of his Live From The Underground project due out September 27th. This joint is solid. Enjoy. Chea!

Watch The Photoshop

JanyƩ? Ha! This is usually one of those things reserved for the world of tumblr but I had to post up this joint here too. Why? Simply because it's hilarious. And slightly haunting. Whoever created this joint, I salute your photoshop game.

Hassaan Mackey & Apollo Brown "Something"

Apollo Brown is a solid producer. And Hassaan Mackey is a dope emcee. The two partnering for a project is simply incredible. Not convinced? Well, check out "Something", their new single from their joint project Daily Bread. If you dig it, cop it. Chea!

What I'm Watching: Laelo Hood "Heartbeat"

Short and sweet, and highly effective. Laelo Hood drops the visuals for Heartbeat off of his Purple Rain & Kush Clouds Mixtape. Shot in DC, it's a solid joint. Enjoy. Chea!

Natasha Ramos "Marvin's Room"

While Marvin's Room might be over occupancy, Natasha Ramos makes room with her version of the Drake track that has seen a few (read: a lot) of covers/remixes. But of all of the joints I've heard, this is by far one of my favorites from the multi-talented songstress. She takes it from a different angle and I dig that. So, put that "not another Marvin's Room" thought to the side and hit play. You'll enjoy this joint. Chea!

e.d.g.e. "Roses & Razors" (prod. by Sinitus Tempo)

While I was at a 3 year old's birthday party this past weekend, the homie e.d.g.e. was busy pushing a new track. As I play catch up, I'm posting up his latest with producer Sinitus Tempo on the boards. In the new cut, Tempo samples the Japanese anime "Honey & Clover". Dope. As e.d.g.e. says, "the grind doesn't stop." Hit play and enjoy. Chea!
