"Writing til I got the right of way, right away..."

When you hear a posse cut like this with such incredible production you want more people to hear it. You've got to share it. Lyrically this track seems unfair considering the emcees assembled for the "Stayin' Busy Remix" off of The Audible Doctor's upcoming You Should Buy Music Not Make It EP. At just over 3 minutes, there are so many damn quotables on this joint, you'll find yourself rewinding over and over again. I'm on my 8th listen (probably 9th by the end of writing this post). The cut serves as a bonus joint and will be available on the CD version of the project, as well as the free download card that comes along with a "You Should Buy Music Not Make It" tee. What I'm Watching: Theophilus London "Girls Girls $"

At first I thought I was watching The Jetsons and I had tuned in right as an older Elroy Jetson was getting chased by the law. Ha! The Theophilus London video for "Girls Girls $" off us his upcoming major label debut, Timez Are Weird These Days (due out next Tuesday), is like watching an episode of adult swim and playing a few video games. Perhaps that was the concept?

Theophilus London offered about the video:
"This video was built on the hype and importance of the internet. NYC legends and hotspots, twitter personalities, quotes and everything hyped good or bad weather. I was intrigued by this character my friend Ben Solomon had on his avatar and approached him via twitter and email to talk about a concept. He came over an we sketched out a few things and brainstormed. This is the modern day Waldo. Can u spot anyone? #isityou?"

I've watched this CALMATIC directed video five times since discovering it over at potholesinmyblog.com earlier today. The video is dope. The track is dope. That then led me to checking out more music from the Inglewood Cali crew OverDoz (Kent, Cream, Sleezy, Tube), and all of that is dope too.Why ya'll didn't tell me about this crew sooner? Damn. Artist Spotlight: @JosieStingray, She's Got It

JCrillz over at hiphopiscoolagain.com put me on to the Oakland female emcee Josie Stingray a few weeks back. He said about her: "one of my favorite emcees (male or female from California's Bay Area has dropped a new video." Josie Stingray, a self proclaimed sneakerhead, delivers the heat on the mic. I dig the sound and her energy. Another example of a dope female emcee doing her thing musically. Check out "Got To Get It" and get to know Josie a little bit after the jump.

Vandalyzm "The Proposal"

Indeed Vandalyzm is back with one of those pop up projects. Man, fuck scheduled and promoted release dates. All we need is 15 minutes and a hook. Ha!

Yesterday, he served up the video and track for "April's Fool" with the announcement that The Proposal was dropping today. And just 24 hours later, here we are. Recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by Vandalyzm, that's what we call a negro that multi-tasks like a mofo. Ha! The Proposal is a solid project, from the high energy of "Chillin'" to the soul driven and self-reflective "The Real", right down to the celebatory tone of "We Made It" with the smooth vocals of Theresa Payne.
