Element Everest "What I Do" Feat. The Rusty Ps & A Biz
I blog about Milwaukee like I live there. Funny thing is I've never been there but ever since stumbling on their Hip-Hop scene, I've tried my best to cover it. Recently I caught this Element track featuring The Rusty Ps and A Biz. You gotta love summer because everyone is out trying to make the summer anthem. You can add this jawn to the list. Hit play and enjoy. Chea!

What I'm Watching: Mean Doe Green "Haiti's" feat. Chuuwee, Black Zeek & Dell Jr.
The track is dope and the video does its job at delivering, with a set of simple visuals for the Mean Doe Green cut off of Black Suits & Shovels. Directed by Jae Synth, the shots are tight and the storyline moves right along. Hit play and enjoy. Chea!

Louis Mackey & Thirtyseven "Good Night, America"
Sent to me on the 4th of July when I was too busy drinking beer and spending money on free admission to the National Zoo, the good folks over at World Around offered up "Good Night, America" from Louis Mackey & Thirtyseven. I dig the cut. Cool joint for the 4th and the day after. Chea!
From the cracker fat cats who profit off the poverty, to the hippie 'revolutionaries' who bitch about the system over bong rips, No Humans Allowed has no sympathy, no mercy and no patience for anyone on Independence Day. This song is about living in the aftermath of an empire that's been gutted before the peasants even realized what happened. Happy 4th of July!

Milly Esquire "Let 'Em Say"
Milly Esquire, Lucky, Mark Milly or whatever you call him, the brother has a dope track in "Let 'Em Say". The jawn has been floating around for a little while now but it definitely was made for a summer soundtrack. The B'more native is working on a new project and "Let 'Em Say" is the first single. Hit play and enjoy. Chea!

Artist Spotlight: Adrift Da Belle
I've been listening to Adrift Da Belle for a minute now. She's one of those dope female emcees that I've been telling you about. I hope you have your listening ears on and are paying attention. The Atlanta based rapper by way of New Jersey is currently working on DNA (DRUGS n Adrift) a project produced exclusively by DRUGS, scheduled to drop September 2011. But she's not trying to leave you without music until then. Check out "More" from the project and get to know Adrift a little bit below.
Adrift Da Belle (BKA Driftee)
Location: Atlanta, GA (NJ in my heart)
twitter: @adriftdabelle
website: adriftdabelle.blogspot.com
Discography: Da Threat, LP (2006), Garden State Parkway, LP (2010) DNA, EP (Scheduled for release Summer 2011)
Your music described in one word: Universal
Musical Influences: Jadakiss, Jay Z, Kanye West, Stevie Wonder, Angela Winbush, Lil Kim, Salt n Pepa, Mc Lyte, Lauryn Hill, Rah Digga, Queen Latifah, The Outsidaz, Outkast, Goodie Mob, Dungeon Family, Beres Hammond, Sanchez, DRUGS, Jah Prince & DJ Rasta Root
What's On Your iPod: A little bit of everything, mainly R&B. I just got back from NJ so I'm listening to a lot of club, reggae and 80's R&B right now.
If you were stranded on an island, which ONE record would you bring with you and why: Stevie Wonder - Songs in the Key of Life. Everything is on that project. He captured the entire human experience in one project.
The track that best showcases who you are as an emcee: The title track of my second LP, Garden State Parkway. It showcases my lyrical style and gives a listener a good glimpse of who I am as a person.
Biggest Moment So Far For You With Your Music: There have been so many professionally. However, I'll stick to what was big to me personally. Last December my little brother saw me perform for the first time. He had pudding face the whole performance. I pointed to him from the stage - he pointed back at me. That was dope! It's big because I started performing when he was 12 - so he could never come see me but he kept a CD with my songs in his stereo. Since the performance he's hired himself as the official A&R to Adrift Da Belle. He sends me beats to keep me abreast of what’s out there and critique's all of my new music. It's really cool because he's very honest when he critiques my music. He'll say things like "stop playing with them sis". It’s cute. That's big to me.
Impact You Want to Have on Your Audience: I want my audience to be inspired to Be Blessed - Be Brave and Be Great. Whatever it is that they really want to do, I want them to do it. Don’t back down and don’t give up. I want them to be inspired by my perseverance and faithfulness to my dream to produce music. If I can chase this dream down - they can chase their dreams down. I am no different than anyone else. In fact people are more alike than different. I'd also like to help them realize that no dream is too small or too big. God is faithful. If your dream is to be a firefighter - take the steps to be a firefighter. If your dream is to open a business - do the research to open your business. If you dream is to raise a great family - fill your home with joy, love your children - take the steps to do that. We are here to live and to have life abundantly. Not just to live. We can do all things if only we believe.

What I'm Watching: Dutch ReBelle "Beantown Ish/Ketchup"
I stumbled into Dutch ReBelle's music a few months back when I received her Beauty vs. The Beast project. It was definitely a quality offering from the Boston based rapper. She recently released the video for "BeanTown Ish/Ketchup"
The concept for the visuals are simple, as Dutch explains: "The concept of BeanTown Ish was to represent the sceneries that most of us never leave but are so much of who we are. It’s the blueprint to a BeanTown state of mind".
Hard at work on her upcoming project Married To The Music, she plans to continue to attack the music industry head on. In the meantime enjoy the fresh video. Chea!

Interview: Miss Special x Dom Kennedy
Last night I talked to Dom Kennedy before his show in San Francisco at Slim's. We spoke about the release of his debut album From The Westside With Love II as far as his favorite songs, the idea behind the cover art and the comparison between mixtapes and albums. We also spoke about the ideas behind his songs "Choose Up" and "When You See Love", as well as him releasing physical copies of the album in September with DVD's featuring videos to every song.
