What I'm Watching: Chuuwee "This One For You"

Chuuwee is one of the dopest dudes coming out of the West Coast, more specifically Sacramento. Don't believe me? That's fine. I'll just be sitting here with the I told you so face when the homie blows. Recently he teamed up with Ooloo for a T-Shirt collab and dropped this vid as a little promo. Enjoy. Chea!

OnCue "Feel Tall" (Prod. CJ Luzi)

I've known OnCue for years. You've heard the story, countless times. With over 150 of his tracks on my computer, there are very few artists that I've listened to from their beginning and have heard them grow musically and lyrically. After a gang of projects, in his last few I really think Cuey has found his voice and ultimately his success. On his latest track off his upcoming project Can't Wait, Cuey teams up with long time collaborator CJ Luzi to deliver another dope track. Check it. Chea!

Check It ... dUECE bUG - "Sky's Gone"

Check out this track by dUECE bUG where he tackles a much more serious issue than usual. Let us know your thoughts.

I have teamed up with my good friend Ronnie at www.ConnecticutSkywatch.com to promote chemtrail (geo-chemical engineering) awareness with my song "Sky's Gone" available on my new album, "Love, Duece Bug". We are not trying to preach, but simply bring the matter to people's attention so they can educate themselves.

Apathy - Live at Acoustic Cafe

Acoustic Cafe held a dope Hip-Hop show brought to you by Mindz I - Entertainment over the weekend. Hosted by MetaMusik, I witnessed some good Hip-Hop throughout the night. I was able to get a few flicks and video from the night in between the drinks and the enjoyment of the show. Haha. Check it after the jump.

Hip-Hop Breakfast Ep 59

If this morning's Hip-Hop Breakfast was served at Denny's it would be the equivalent of their Grand Slam, considering the large portion you're getting. But I don't really mess with Denny's because their eggs are too salty. Allegedly, of course. Ha!

So, EP 59 is like a meal served at one of those hole in the wall diners that are at least one visit away from the health inspector shutting them down. You know the spots I'm talking about with the breakfast specials for like $2.99 and you get 15 items on your plate but need to down a bottle of tums, however the food is so damn good you don't care.

Considering I took last week off, the least I could do was fill you up with just over 27 solid minutes of quality music featuring The Weeknd, Jean Grae, the homie e.d.g.e. and one of my new favorite's Rocky Rivera. I hope EP 59 helps kick start your week. Enjoy. Chea!

01. The Weeknd - Trust Issues (Cover)
02. TiRon & Ayomari feat. Simon Emanuel - Forever
03. Sonny Shotz x OnCue - Anything Real
04. Rocky Rivera - Under Pressure
05. Naeem Oba - Stomp
06. SigNif - Wish Her Well
07. e.d.g.e - O My God
08. ProbCause - Loud Through The Town
09. Jean Grae - I Rock On

The Weeknd "Trust Issues" (Drake Cover)

A little Sunday morning music for you? You're welcome.

I'm not saying Drake can't sing. Nor am I saying that Trust Issues isn't a cool song. I am however saying I like the Weeknd's version of the track more. You tell me.

Jones Andrews "Tunnel Vision (All Black Everything)"

"I burn it down like Rosewood, no Ving Rhames..."

Jones Andrews blacks out on this track. Pun intended. Enjoy. Chea!
Recently I was going through an extreme case of writer’s block. I listened to other artists that inspire me, watched hip hop documentaries and even just threw on beats and rapped until I turned blue…lol and nothing seemed to work. Then I decided that I need to refocus and just have fun again with my music and not force it, and just let it come to me. Since that occurred I have been grinding harder than ever, doing shows, collabs and just going in. It’s like I have tunnel vision right now I’m so focused on my music that I can’t see anything else around me, so with that being said I present to you “Tunnel Vision(All Black Everything)”. It’s me flexing my lyrical muscle and going in over one of my favorite beats as of late, Lupe Fiasco’s “All Black Everything.”

Check It Out: Alicia James "Seven"

Last night I randomly came across Alicia James' video for the song "Seven." Alicia is a native of Houston Texas whose youtube page features mostly natural hair videos and stories about her life. At the beginning of all of her videos is this smooth neo-soul/R&B joint, and I have been curious to know who was singing the song featured. I finally realized it was her. Her voice is beautiful. The song has such a positive message. How could I not share this hidden gem with everyone else?
