Jinesis "Let's Get Lifted"
Fresh off of releasing "Maliah" off of his upcoming TMB presented project Otisis, Jinesis returns with "Let's Get Lifted". Jinesis samples John Legend after a request by Nia Calhoun. According to Jinesis, "I took the relaxed soul track and made an upbeat, uplifting hip-hop beat with pace." I dig it. Enjoy. Chea!

Dice Raw "1995"
Do you remember 1995? I do. I was entering my senior year of high school. It seems so long ago. It was a wonderful time to be alive. Money Making Jam Boys own Dice Raw returns with the dope track "1995", an ode to a good year. Makes me feel all nostalgic and shit. Ha! The cut is off his upcoming EP, Preservation, due out June 7th. Enjoy. Chea!

YC The Cynic "The Harder"
YC THE CYNIC / THE HARDER IT IS / SOUTHPAW from Giovanni P Autran on Vimeo.
Time and time again, you've heard me praise YC The Cynic's recent project Fall Fwd. Perhaps among my top three favorite cuts is The Harder, which also happens to be the shortest jawn on the project. Back in March at his album release, Giovanni P Autran caught a live performance of the track. To steal a line from the homie Khal over at rockthedub, "YC #noracks will be at The Compound on Thursday" Yes, tonight muddasuckas. Performing live with Fresh Daily, Neak and others, the line-up looks dope. Support good music.

Shane Eli "Have Mercy"
Shane Eli's recent I Can Do Better is a dope project. I remember being hyped with the singles leading up to the release and playing the project on and off for the weeks following it's release. Then The Smoking Section featured the latest single, "Have Mercy" and it reminded me of how much I loved this project from the L.A. producer/rapper/songwriter. Every now and again I hear a track that makes me visualize a video in my head. "Have Mercy" is one of those tracks. Shot in black and white, I see an old diner, the back of a cab, school bus and church shots. But that's just my imagination running wild. Ha! Anyway, enjoy "Have Mercy." Chea!
"With original artwork inspired by legendary photographer Roy DeCarava, "Have Mercy" is a cinematic tale that demands a close listen."

Theo Martins "I Can't Stop (Puffy Time)"
Theo Martins is a dope fella. I'm currently working on a feature on him over at Refined Hype (look out for that in a few days) in my Return of The Real column. Today he hit me on twitter with a new cut, "I Can't Stop (Puffy Time)." I dig it. Between the fresh artwork and the dope track, I Can't Stop is a winner. Enjoy. Chea!
Just bought a bike (a Schwinn, can you believe it?) and I’m going to take it for a spin. The weather outside is beautiful.
Anyhow, in preparation for my Asia tour next week inspired me to put out one of my recent favorite records titled, Puffy Time produced by Dubstep phenom Flux Pavilion. Like Turn It Up this song explores my taste on heavy Dubstep production.
Also, the swanky new video for Take You There off my latest project, Sincerely Yours, The Dance Floor directed by Rex Arrow Films will be out very soon.

What I'm Watching: Adebisi "Closer"
A blue collar-working-dad. The homie Adebisi and I have a lot in common. And I guess at this stage in our lives, we're both a little closer to our dreams. Adebisi returns with another track off of his TMB presented Blaxploitation mixtape. "Closer" is one of my favorite cuts, with its very self-reflective tone. Shot by BeardsxFreckles, enjoy another guerrilla-style-shot video from the NYC by way of Milwaukee emcee. Chea!

Random Axe “Random Call”
At this point you probably aren't reading a word I'm writing. You've already hit play. Haven't you? I mean, why wouldn't you. Shit, I hit play too. I've kind of tuned out the fact that anyone is reading what I'm writing anyway. Ha! So, let me go 'head and get out of your way and allow you to enjoy the latest leak from Random Axe (Guilty Simpson, Sean Price and Black Milk). Enjoy. Chea!

Live at The Loft: Fresh Daily (Part 1)
EP05 - Fresh Daily Pt. 01 from LIVE AT THE LOFT on Vimeo.
Fresh Daily is that dude. A few weeks back he dropped one of my favorite projects this year, The Quiet Life. On Rapture Eve (yes, that's an event -- ha), he performed some tracks from the newest project for the Live at The Loft series. Like I said, Fresh Daily is that dude. Shouts to Tone. Enjoy the vid. What I'm Watching: recess "how do you sleep?" featuring Blu
I already thought Sene was dope. And when he put out the project with Recess a few months back, I became a fan of the collective too. The project still gets burn on my iTunes. Today they released a video for "how do you sleep?" featuring Blu. It's a winner. Enjoy. Chea!

Stalley “Chevys & Space Ships”
Stalley's recent Lincoln Way Nights (Intelligent Trunk Music) project is a favorite. I dig his music. And apparently so does Rick Ross with his recent addition to the MMG family. I haven't fully made up my mind on how I feel about this but Stalley continues to put out music I enjoy, so I'm cool with it for now. I caught this track floating around the net yesterday and so I'm sharing it here today. Enjoy. Chea!
