100 Grand "Dont Say Nothing"
He showed up rocking a hoodie, denim jacket and his Beats by Dre headphones. Jessica asked, "are you here for the showcase?" He gave a nod. But 100 Grand was there for more than watching the acts, he wanted to participate in the open mic we had scheduled for the evening. He had seen the info via a tweet and was the first to arrive to ensure his spot on the list.
Once he stepped on the mic, he said his name enough times that you would remember who he was long after his one track. The next day we exchanged a few emails and it dawned on me that back in February I peeped his video for "Carrie". I thought the dude was fresh.
The Queens rapper definitely has a dope sound and so on a late pass I'm sharing some of his music with you. Check out "Dont Say Nothing" plus the "Carrie" video. Who knows, you might see him at an upcoming Independent's Day Showcase rocking a full set. Chea!

Interview: TheComeUpShow.com x Method Man, Classified and Kidz In The Hall
From talking about inspirational quotes, the upcoming album The Crystal Meth, and why he doesn’t want to been seen as a pothead. I was really excited to sit down with Method Man, right after his exhilarating performance.
It’s a beautiful thing when Classified is your hype man and repeating the slogan, “This is The Come Up Show. Where That Feel Good Music Lives. Real Recognize Real.” This must be interview number 35092148932 and this time around Class breaks down why he chose the title Handshakes and Middle Fingers for his album. The struggle to smoke up or not, how his wife introduced him to Mary Jane and why he thought he was a one hit wonder. As always we got some superb live footage of That Ain’t Classy show at the London Music Hall.
It’s safe to say Kidz In The Hall LOVE Canada and why wouldn’t they? They opened up for Classified all across Canada for That Ain’t Classy Tour. In our interview they tell me about our Canadian women, new reality show, and a big change in how people perceive them musically. Birthday boy Mic Boyd makes an appearance to brag about their paintball competition win against Classified team.

SigNif x Gee Wiz Presents "Significant Wizdom"
"The EP is more aggressive, in-your-face. It's about me standing my ground as a female emcee who refuses to back down even when confronted with adversity." - SigNif.
SigNif has been on the blog more times than I can remember. Her sound is dope and I've long supported her music.
I've been hearing bits and pieces of this Gee Wiz produced Significant Wizdom EP over the last few months and I'm happy to finally hear it in it's complete form and share it with all of you. Gee Wiz does his gotdamn thing on the production and SigNif delivers more of an aggressive flow on the new project. Having worked together on SigNif's The Transition, the duo take that chemistry to deliver eight dope tracks. There should be no doubt that SigNif is formidable emcee after hearing this project. Enjoy the hell out of this. Chea!

Shane Eli "I Can Do Better"
I've been rocking to this Shane Eli project for a few days and then it dawned on me that I hadn't posted it up. Oops. Ha!
Shane has been featured on the blog a few times with his work, as well as a features with other TMB favorites. His new project, I Can Do Better is dope. Having heard a few of the tracks prior to it's release I knew the project would be quality. Ya'll know I don't usually endorse projects over 15 tracks but Shane's 19 (which includes a few intros) on I Can Do Better is worth the listen.
Jump over to DJBooth.net, preview the project and if you dig it, download it. Below is one of my favorite cuts, "Guillotine." Enjoy. Chea!

Jessica Kaya "Imperfections"
Jessica Kaya has been featured on the blog a few times. Her sister, who happens to be one of my favorite rappers, Eternia put me on to her music. I haven't been disappointed. Jessica has a beautiful voice and in her project Imperfections she delivers what she calls "a collection of raw, unmixed demo's & draft songs, recorded at home and released in their unfinished & imperfect form." The words. The music. The sound. All beautiful in it's imperfect form. I dig it. Hit play and enjoy the smooth sound of Jessica Kaya.
