Vulkan the Krusader "The Lucy Naive Mixtape"
This project has shown up in my inbox a few times. Vulkan the Krusader comes with some co-signs from a few folks I respect musically on the underground scene but my opinion has never been based on a co-sign. Ha!
Anyway, I finally got around to listening to the project. It's cool. I dig most of it but I wish it was less than 22 tracks because it took me a little while to process so much music. There's definitely quality here though. But you tell me what you think down in the comment section.

TMB's Throwback Video of the Day ... Maxwell - "...Til the Cops Come Knockin'"
15 years. That's how long it has been since Maxwell's first album became available to us all. What a journey! And oh how we missed him during that 8 year stint of absence from the music scene. I know I sure did. Maxwell is the King of Neo-soul. I dare anyone to say otherwise. Everything about this man is beautiful! The vocals, the lyrics, pre-hair cut. Everything. And besides, how on Earth would any of us get these babies here without him? Ha! (Side Note: I am not responsible for any children made during the listening of this song). I've experienced nothing but greatness from Maxwell even with only 4 albums under his belt; and I hope he continues to bless us with his music in the years to come. Off the 1996 debut album Urban Hang Suite "...Til the Cops Come Knockin'" is definitely something you can chill to, have that glass of red wine and cap off your evening. I encourage you all to do just that. Enjoy the song and the rest of your Friday night.
We'll be back with the 3rd installment of TMB's Throwback Video of the Day, April 25th. Until then...

TMB's Throw Back Video of the Day ... Aaliyah - "One In A Million"
Who doesn't miss her? You just can't help it. And no matter how hard they try, the music industry will not and cannot 'create' another Aaliyah. It's impossible. So in honor of her legacy and how we all thought of her, here is "One In A Million" off of 1996 album with the same name. Enjoy.

Interview: Two Piece and a Biscuit Interviews @ThroatChopU
As the person who usually does interviews, I always find it odd to be on the other end being interviewed. Well, a week ago through TMB contributor Steph, Dan of Two Piece and A Biscuit reached out to me about being interviewed about The Mad Bloggers, the state of Hip-Hop and Hip-Hop in general. I was humbled by the offer. It was a pretty cool 13 minute conversation with some great questions. Check out what a brother had to say over at twopieceandabiscuit.blogspot.com. Chea!

TMB's Throwback Video of the Day ... Sade - "Kiss of Life"
Warmth, depth and beautiful as ever.
There's not much to say about Sade that hasn't already been said. Listening to the English rhythm and blues band, Sade, is the perfect way to end your night. With smooth and seductive vocals, Sade's lead singer has the ability to lift the weight of the world off of your shoulders. An awesome throwback from the early 90s, here is "Kiss of Life" from the 1992 album Love Deluxe.

$port "In Transit"
I've been vibing to this $port In Transit beat tape on and off since discovering it over at PotholesInMyBlog.com this morning. It's a solid project from beginning to end. Smooth beats, with the only feature coming from one of my favorite music folk right now, Theo Martins. You can find that track down below and the link to the download. Enjoy both. Chea!

Converse Presents: Spree Wilson "The Never Ending Now"
Shouts to the good folks over at DJ Booth for putting this Spree Wilson joint in my inbox. Definitely a fresh project from the ATL singer/songwriter/rapper/producer (it seems like everyone is doing everything nowadays). It's more of a chill project with a B.o.B. and Cee-Lo kind of feel to it. Linking up with Converse and DJBooth.net, Spree puts out 14 quality tracks featuring production courtesy of No I.D., Shoeden!1, Tony Reyes, Matt Friedman and Spree Wilson. Enjoy.
