I think Epsilon Project is dope. I haven't heard a track from them that I haven't liked. And that didn't change when I heard the Supa Koopa produced "Got Me Trippin." This joint is off Supa's upcoming Raw Chops project. Epsilon Project will also be releasing their Kev Brown produced "My Sunshine" track soon. In the meantime, enjoying "Got Me Trippin." FRESH! Chea!
Check Violets off Panama Red's Unlimited-The Beat Tape. I've listened to most of the beats on the 42 beat project. Definitely some dope tracks there. If you dig Violets, check the rest of the project.
Check the official video for Bigstat's "Dream Killer" track. Bigstat is good peoples and I dig the Connecticut native's sound. Look out for his Heart of a Lion project coming soon. In the meantime, enjoy the video. Chea!
Now this is my type of post-Valentine's Day type of track. Shit, it's my pre-Valentine's Day type of track too! Ha! Shane Eli drops off "I Love You (Kinda)" as the second track of his upcoming I Can Do Better project. I definitely dig this cut.
The homie Nathan over at DJBooth/RefinedHype sums the track up well with:
"Now that all that romantic Valentine's nonsense is out of the way, it's back to the time honored tradition of saying whatever it takes to get a girl to go home with you. A blistering soul cut produced by the man himself, "I Love You (Kinda)" is Shane Eli's ode to joys of casual sex. It's not a one-night stand if you're laying down."
Check this out! Week 17 is here! From Dilla to Big Pun to fake Chinese rice to Crazy S. Carolina Mothers. It's all here! Produced by John Blaze. RT and "TURN IT UP!!"
Here are two tracks from Hives Inquiry Squad that I listened to and I'm split between the two. I couldn't get into 'No Way Out' as much as I tried. Not sure why. Felt scattered. But 'Yesterdays' had a slight nostalgic melody to it and I felt like the flow of the MCs were much more in sync according to my ears. But who am I? Just a listener. As for you folks, take a listen and tell us what you think.
What up folks? My name is Lucas Dix of the Portland, Or hip hop based group Hives Inquiry Squad (Gavin Theory: producer/mc, myself: mc). We just released our debut album "Edifice" and wanted to hit ya'll with the 1st and 2nd singles, "No Way Out' and "Yesterdays" respectively. If you like what you hear and would like to check more, you can listen to the whole album at www.hivesinquirysquad.com. We can even send the whole thing to you no charge if you'd like. Hope you peep and dig the ish. Bump it, pass it, share it, etc. Thanks for your time and consideration. Peace and keep the eye on the zenith.

"So many people say, 'Yo, I love Hip-Hop' and what I say to that is, 'PROVE IT!'"
Folks who have been following the blog long enough know that I'm a fan and supporter of the Milwaukee Hip-Hop scene. SPEAK Easy is one of Milwaukee's finest. I've been a fan of SPEAK since I first heard his music. He's been featured on the blog every time he has something new out. Check out the KuMays shot video, providing an in-depth look at SPEAK's music, how he feels about the state of Hip-Hop, his upcoming project and more. SPEAK Easy says it well in the video, his style is definitely genuine and I dig it.
Pretty dope track from the Brooklyn native Fresh Daily. Featuring Nicholas Ryan Gant, with production by Benamin this joint is definitely fresh (no pun intended). Hit play and enjoy!
At this point you already know what it is, but in case you're new to e.d.g.e., he's dropping three tracks each week leading up to his new project All Flow Everything. The new joint is produced by Moka Only. Let me tell you,"Pabst Smeared" is dope. Hit play. Enjoy.
