"So many people say, 'Yo, I love Hip-Hop' and what I say to that is, 'PROVE IT!'"
Folks who have been following the blog long enough know that I'm a fan and supporter of the Milwaukee Hip-Hop scene. SPEAK Easy is one of Milwaukee's finest. I've been a fan of SPEAK since I first heard his music. He's been featured on the blog every time he has something new out. Check out the KuMays shot video, providing an in-depth look at SPEAK's music, how he feels about the state of Hip-Hop, his upcoming project and more. SPEAK Easy says it well in the video, his style is definitely genuine and I dig it.
Pretty dope track from the Brooklyn native Fresh Daily. Featuring Nicholas Ryan Gant, with production by Benamin this joint is definitely fresh (no pun intended). Hit play and enjoy!
At this point you already know what it is, but in case you're new to e.d.g.e., he's dropping three tracks each week leading up to his new project All Flow Everything. The new joint is produced by Moka Only. Let me tell you,"Pabst Smeared" is dope. Hit play. Enjoy.
I've heard Top $ Raz's new project, The New Flesh. It's dope. Quality. Great content. Dope rhymes. Fresh production. It drops February 22. Support independent music. Ahead of the release Raz presents a fresh promo video for The New Flesh. Enjoy. Chea!
Torae always putting out quality Hip-Hop. This time isn't much different. From the cover depicting a fantasy of most, I'd assume, to the cuts on the free mix, this joint is sure to deliver musically. Check it.
Well folks the day is upon us. Flowers, cards, candy & a whole bunch of other unnecessary BS. Don’t you people know all you need is love & music. Allow me if you will to provide a nice soundtrack for all of this evening's festivities. Play this on your way to the restaurant, hotel or while you’re in the back set of your jeep swinging an ep’. Word to James Todd Smith.
Stalley dropped his latest project Lincoln Way Nights (Intelligent Trunk Music) a few days ago but I was a little caught up with other projects and I hadn't had the opportunity to give it a solid listen. Weirdly enough, I actually listen to music before I post it on the site. I like Stalley and the music he offers but I always listen before posting.
Anyway, this project has dope beats and great rhymes and it's fresh straight through. Stalley fills Lincoln Way Nights with tracks about home, cars, family and the struggle of being a rapper living his dream. I rocked with this on the early shift this morning at work. I actually played it twice. You know a project is dope when you can run it back immediately. Among my favorite cuts, 330, Hercules, Assassin, She Hates the Bass and Hard. Download and enjoy Lincoln Way Nights, it's worth a play (or two). Chea!
The concept is simple. 30 beats in 30 days leading up to Ritchcraft's journey down to SXSW to network and really present himself as a producer and beatmaker to anyone willing to give an ear to his music. So, today is day one of the 30 in 30 series. By no means are The Mad Bloggers an official sponsor of this ambitious undertaking, we're just supporters of Ritchcraft's work so we'll be posting each and every beat. The dude is definitely talented and hit the ground running with his first offering, Beats Make ME. Like Ritcraft said, "R.I.P. #weeklysubmissions. Dawn of the daily dose!" Stay tuned for more 30 in 30 and in the meantime, enjoy day 1. Chea!
I caught this joint from Theo Martins yesterday. Dope. I definitely dig Theo's style. "The Passover" is off his freestyle series project dropping soon. Hit play. Enjoy. Chea!
