e.d.g.e. is back with his third track of the week. This time, he delivers a freeverse over Madlib's "Spanish Bells (High Dreams)" from Beat Konducta Vol. 1-2 Movie Scenes. Enjoy.
I caught this new Shane Eli track from the homie Nathan over at RefinedHype / DJBooth. Ya'll remember Bo Jackson? That dude was a beast. And what better way to sum up that you do it all? Reference Bo Jackson. Ha!
"Bo Jackson" is the first official preview off of Shane's upcoming I Can Do Better project dropping on DJBooth in March. I definitely dig this track. Hit play. Enjoy. Chea!
I dig SonReal. Dude is dope. Anyway, check out the video for "Already There" that is making waves north of the border, with two stateside debuts yesterday. Enjoy the Alex Colthart directed video featuring Rich Kidd. Look out for SonReal's new project, Where's Waldo, dropping February 28th.
ScienZe is steady dropping videos from his latest project, Hall Pass. Check out the new vid for "Independent Study (Cocoa Butter Lotion)." If you haven't downloaded Hall Pass, you should do that ASAP! Enjoy the video in the meantime. Chea!
I finally was able to get this posted after a few technical difficulties and now you get to hear why I was adamant about doing so. I've been a fan of Mr. J. Medeiros when The Procussions made a visit to Toad's Place where I live in CT. Ever since I've been keeping an ear out for these cats. Here's Mr. J with These Hands off "Exclusives" and was cool enough to add his lyrics to it. Track sounds therapeutic to me in a way. Good music. Check it.
I had it all in my hands but couldn’t hold it
I was more then anyone could bare or
Dare to share a home with
Unprepared
I was owned quick
Undeclared as my own skin
Hands of cold brick
Struck till everything I’ve known was spit
And cut from everything I’ve grown too
Thick
Is the air I now breathe
Where will thou feed
If in there I found peace
If in here I found streets
And behind every smile an aisle of sharp teeth
That defiles all we say admire and might think
Desire
The well of fire the dire and I drink
The miles I run a day
The mire of my sleep
Remind me summer day of the time my eyes peeked
On a love that was worth mine
Over the earths crimes
When my first cry searched for its worth
Ones birth reversed
And saw my mother for the first time....
What crew is really fucking with The Money Making Jam Boys (S.T.S., Dice Raw, Black Thought, Truck North, P.O.R.N.) lyrically? I'll wait. Ha! This mixtape is serious.
Download. Hit play. Enjoy.
While you wait for the download, enjoy "Friday Night Street Fever."
We've featured Nello Luchi on the blog in the past. She's pretty dope. She's currently working on her upcoming mixtape, Welcome To The Exahle, produced entirely by K'riem Scott. That project is scheduled to drop late March. In the meantime, Nello Luchi drops off the freeverse over the Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa track. Check it out.
It's been a while since I've posted a track from theOTHERSIDE. I mean, I've posted a few of Keno's (the emcee) tracks and some of Sauce Fonda's (the producer) tracks but nothing together in a while. Well, the new track from theOTHERSIDE, "Grape Dutch" featuring Joe Crush and Draft, is a great way to comeback. The track will be featured on the upcoming EP Rocky & Bullwinkle. Enjoy this track in the meantime. Chea!
I received an email about a week or so ago introducing me to Dutch ReBelle and her latest project, Beauty Vs. The Beast. The project is your traditional mixtape, featuring a collection of industry beats coupled with Dutch ReBelle's rhymes. The project also featured a few original tracks. Overall I enjoyed Beauty Vs. The Beast. It was cool. However, there were two tracks that jumped out at me, "This Time" and "I'm Ill", that I wanted to share. Check 'em out and enjoy. And if you dig them, head over to Dutch Rebelle's site to download the full project. Chea!
This new Senica Da Misfit and Jimmy Flight project is pretty damn dope. Among my favorite tracks, "Still Have a Voice", "Don't You Agree" and "Never Again." In addition to the music, there's a few hilarious skits to help the story EP move along. This project is definitely worth the download and a listen. You can preview Reductio Ad Absurdum below for a limited time and download the project if you dig it. Enjoy. Chea!
