Listen To This ... Justin Nozuka
You know I like to give you guys something a little different every now and then right? Well, I couldn't leave this guy's page without posting something. I heard "My Heart Is Yours" and decided not to pass up the opportunity to share. In my opinion, I feel like you can hear his spirit through his songs. With that being said, I think his spirit is beautiful. The soulful elements conveyed through his songs are amazing. I'd definitely see him in concert. Another one of my favorites is "Supposed To Grow Old." I'm sure he gets a lot of comparisons to Justin Timberlake, vocally, but I can't say that's a bad thing, right? I decided that I couldn't post just one song, so here are them all. Check him out... Enjoy.

What EMS Is Listening To ... Zo - Say How You Feel feat. Carlitta Durand & Phonte
I don't even really have a lot of words for this. Dude is dope. The song I'm going to post is a collab with Carlitta Durand (a TMB favorite) and Phonte (another TMB favorite). I came across this song during my usual perusing. There are so many songs on his page that I love. In addition to "Say How You Feel," I'm a big fan of "Be Your Man" and "Greater Than The Sun." What's so impressive about "Greater Than The Sun" is the intro. I generally don't like elongated intros but you can't help but listen to this one because it just oozes talent.
His vibe is so mellow and laid back. Just feel good. Check him out here: Reverb Nation
For now, "Say How You Feel." Enjoy.

What EMS Is Listening To ... Mica Parris - "Wings"
I spend time on ReverbNation every now and then and most of the time it's a miss instead of a hit. This time I came across an artist I'd like to hear more from. Mica Parris.
I'm impressed with "Wings," particularly because the instrumentals of the track are so nice and the fluidity of her voice fits perfectly on top.
There isn't a lot of information out there for her yet, but I'd keep an eye out. You can find other songs of hers on Reverb Nation, but for now, here is "Wings." Enjoy.

What I'm Watching ... Dallas Producer Union II
I caught this from the homie J. Rhodes out of Texas. Check it.
The Dallas Producer Union was one of the most GROUND BREAKING events in the history of the city. It united the hottest producers and artist in Dallas as well as fans of music. The moderator was rising star producer/artist J.Rhodes. Rhodes is an Ascap Istandard producer showcase winner whos video Hello debuted on MTV's rap fix with Sway, David Banner and 9th Wonder who all gave it rave reviews. Panelist were Cheese Beats (Grammy Nominated producer who has produced for the likes of Cherish, Young-Joc, Jagged edge and Faith based rapper Lecrae to name a few). Picnic (Talented Producer/Artist who has crafted hits for Devin the Dude, Johnny Polygon and Kid Kudi just to name a few) and S1 (producer of Kanye West lead single "Power". He has also produced for the likes of Rhymefest and Talib Kweli. He is currently in the studio with Jay-Z and Beyonce)
The panel was dedicated to Business and Branding. The hour plus Q&A session was very informative and everyone in the room gained great insight and knowledge from professionals who have been there and done that.
After the Q&A session the packed house was entertained from a producer showcase that featured S1, Picnic, J.Rhodes, Cheese Beats and Lonestarr.
The second portion of the Union inspired the masses as the packed house Rocked out to EPIC beats from people in the field that they look up to.
It was a great night. The cherry on top was Dallas Ambassador Erykah Badu being in attendance and asking the most questions to panelist! It was indeed a great night! A win for Hip-Hop music, and a win for the Dallas Fort-Worth area.

Check It ... Killah Trakz "Scrunchface Music" (Prod. HPthaHybrid)
The homie HP is a talented producer. A few months back he put out a project called The Purge. Basically a collection of some unused beats. Since then, a lot of those tracks have found a home, including the upcoming collaboration with Boston rapper HW for his #RapLife project. HP hit me up a day ago with another track used from that beat tape. Check out the Killah Trakz joint. It's pretty dope.
A pretty dope collabo... Little story behind this joint the beat was on my first beat project "The Purge" months before I dropped "The Purge" I gave Killah Trakz the beat I didn't think he was gonna ever do anything with it so I put the beat on The Purge. Last week I get a tweet from Killah Trakz like I'm recording to Scrunchface. Oh word... When I heard the finished joint I thought this is the reason I gave the beat to him in the first place. Enjoy. -HP
