Psalm One is an impressive emcee, who just happens to be a woman. Will Hermes, Entertainment Weekly wrote about Psalm, "Kanye West and Common gave Chicago its reputation as a breeding ground for innovative rap, Psalm One furthers this tradition." I agree.
The Lady of Rhymesayers Entertainment delivers dope rhymes and fresh music, and continues to further quality Hip-Hop music, regardless of her gender. I'd heard her name and a few loose tracks but it wasn't until her Woman at Work: Volumes 1-3 (kind of late in the game, considering her discography) that I really started paying close attention. After Woman at Work, I started backtracking and checking out some of her older material. She's talented and probably one of the most slept on. You should definitely be checking for Psalm One if you aren't already.
Anyway, this week Psalm One decided to take the challenge. Check out how she answer five random questions after the jump.
It's Friday. Have a great weekend. I'm taking a break next week, so enjoy your Thanksgiving too. Chea!

The “Grey Area” Music Video is for the first single off of Los Angeles artist/producer Shane Eli‘s debut album, The Push hosted by DJBooth.net. Deeply personal, the video is a reflection on Shane's single parent upbringing and his personal experiences including his conflicted relationship with race and his frustration towards the father who abandoned him. The song is a hopeful one, ultimately expressing his determination to transcend all labels that have been placed upon him. Directed by David A. Wong. *Shane Eli will be opening for J. Cole in Los Angeles at the Key Club this Saturday, November 20th, 2010*
