Interview: Mickey Factz on The Bar Exam with Brian Allonce
Pretty fresh interview with Mickey Factz on the homie Brian Allonce's show The Bar Exam over at PNC Radio. Brian hit me with the video from a few months back that included convincing Mickey to do a pre-show work out, his reaction to the Bar Exam Theme music and more. A few older topics discussed but still a pretty dope interview. Enjoy.

What I'm Watching ... Block McCloud - "Crazy Man"
Aaaaah yeah. Video is wild and finding out where they filmed it just adds to the creativity. Block McCloud come through with a banger on "Crazy Man". Had this on repeat a couple of times. Overall, I dig this. Check it out.
Well Done Entertainment Presents in association with Disturbia Music Group, A Noisemaker Media Production; Block McCloud - "Crazy Man."
Block McCloud unleashes the visuals to his single "Crazy Man" which was released last week as part of his digital-only "Crazy Man EP" now available on iTunes and everywhere digital music is sold. The video is lensed by Noisemaker Media's prolific director Mark Carranceja who brings to life Block McCloud's twisted world and showcases the mind of a man who's fed up with the system and ready to take matters into his own hands. Inanimate objects come to life and madness ensues as Block McCloud makes his escape from his physical and psychological confinement.
Shot on location at Bayley Seton Psychiatric Hospital as well as Seaview Hospital's decades-abandoned tiberculosis ward (both in Staten Island, NY), the video brings Block McCloud's artistic vision and musical creation to life, giving audiences an intimate (albeit disturbing) look into the mind of Block McCloud's CRAZY MAN complimented by DJ Waxwork's eery and sonically dramatic production.

Download ... Chris Read - "The Classic Material Edition #2"
Here's another free mixtape brought to you by Chris Read. Some dope throwbacks in this mix. Check it.
Edition #2 of the monthly Classic Material series pays tribute to the hip hop of 1988, a year which many consider the 'golden year' of the late 80s. As samplers took over from drum machines as the producer's tool of choice, the James Brown drum sound ruled supreme and lyrical subject matter explored new territory. With seminal (and at the time controversial) album releases from the likes of Public Enemy and NWA, this was a year that changed hip hop forever.
This mix takes in classic and some lesser known cuts from singles and albums released in 1988. The CD version includes 2 bonus mixes including "The Breaks of '88", an audio collage of the sample material used in the making of 88's best known hip hop cuts and is available to purchase on its own or as part of our T-Shirt box set from the Classic Material website.

What I'm Watching ... Adebisi "Internet Sex"
Last time I posted music from the homie Adebisi, it was with his Milwaukee crew Fresh Cut Collective. Adebisi recently relocated to NYC and is working on his solo sophomore album, "Hard Money." Check the new track from that project, produced by Reason. The video was shot, edited and directed by no stranger to our blog, Darren Cole for Alphabang Productions. Look out for Adebisi's new project dropping soon.

Check It ... H.W. (of The Scribblenauts) #RAPLIFE
H.W. of The Scribblenauts hit me up earlier with this track over an Oddisee beat (Lava Lamp off Oddisee Instrumental Mixtape, Vol. 1). It's basically a reflection of his life and probably the life many other non famous rappers live. It's kind of an anthem. I definitely dig it and hope other folks will gravitate towards it. The Mad Bloggers decided to jump on board and push this joint out. It's definitely a dope track. Check it out. Hit up the comment section with your thoughts. CHEA!
