A few days late in posting this but this track is dope and had to come up. Check out new music from e.d.g.e.'s upcoming Refined Hype-sponsored EP, The 29th Year. The project features production from Beewirks, Roswell, Jeff Spec and So Sleazy. After a few leaks, this project is looking really dope.

Download ... The David Bowie Beat Tape

More great beats from 100akres. Enjoy.
David Bowie's 1983 LP, Let's Dance, gets the 100 Akres treatment this time around. Every song on the LP gets mangled, twisted, and minced for the best 15 minutes of musical niceness you'll ever experience.

Download ... The Best of Man Mantis

I'm definitely a fan of Man Mantis' production. I first caught his work on the JDante collaboration. One of his latest projects with K. Raydio is fresh too. The dude is definitely dope. He recently hit me up with this best of project. Download, enjoy and get familiar with Man Mantis.

Independent's Day Showcase Artist Spotlight (Oct 14): Brokn.Englsh

Brokn.Englsh (Lyriq2Go x Cion Burris x Myk Dyaleks) is one of the four acts that will be featured at the October 14th Independent's Day Showcase presented by iHeartDilla.com and The Mad Bloggers. I've been a fan of the New Jersey crew for almost a year, starting with my discovery of their The Drawing Board project. Their latest, The ARE & B.E, is fresh too. They have music as a crew, as well as a gang of individual projects. The dudes are talented. I'm looking forward to their live show.

Come check out Brokn.Englsh at Southpaw in Brooklyn, NY. Doors 7:30. We'll be rocking from 8-11. $10 cover.

G.O.O.D. Music's BET Hip-Hop Awards Cypher

By far the best cypher from the BET Hip-Hop Awards came from G.O.O.D. music. The other joints were pretty much hit or miss. And as much as I dig and support female rappers, Diamond was fail city. Yelawolf, killed. It's a shame that Diggy murked everyone in his cypher too. Anyway, enjoy the audio for Kanye West,  Pusha T, Big Sean, CyHi Da Prynce and Common's cypher. It's a video rip obviously, but enjoy nonetheless.

Download ... Soul Train Dancer: A Tribute To Rosie Perez

This shit right here? Dope! The beats. The rhymes. Fresh. Shouts to Khal over at RockTheDub.com for the link!
After a number of delays, I'm proud to say that Soul Train Dancer: A Tribute To Rosie Perez, the long-awaited album from Cy Yung (North Caorlina) & J. Slikk (Chicago), is now here. Produced entirely by J. Slikk, this project is a throwback to the era of Rap that many feen for - intoxicating beats, thought-provoking rhymes, and none of the blinged out okey doke. This BPA gem features MCs like Rashid Hadee, The Primeridian, Melatone, Wordsmith, Indy Sparks and more, and is a true testament to Cy & Slikk's determination, and providing a complete project, without the BS.
