BEAT SALE: Sauce Fonda
The homie Sauce Fonda (1/2 of theOTHERSIDE) is good peoples and his beats are dope. He's produced a few things for me in the past, including The Mad Bloggers Show's intro music. He's on a beat sale mission right now and uploaded four tracks to his bandcamp, all created in the same day. These jawns are dope and if you think you're fresh and looking for beats, you might wanna jump on buying one (or all) of these. If you're interested, hit him on twitter at saucefonda. Chea!

Interview: The Misnomer(s) Were Made in the USA
Asian. Female. Rap. Violin.
An unlikely combination, but one that works for the sound created by the Hip-Hop duo Misnomer(s). One part Knewdles (the emcee) and one part Sis On Strings (violin), the Brooklyn duo pushes the envelope with their music.
With the recent release of American I(s), Knewdles and SOS continue to deliver a sound that brings energy, raw talent and creativity. There is much depth to the project. As you'll read (in this interview) and hear (on their project), there's a genuine passion to explore and be themselves within the music they create. They do this on American I(s), making it an enjoyable listen.
I reached out to Misnomer(s) right before the release of American I(s) for a Q&A. Check out what they had to say about working with each other, their project and the future.

Friday's Five Random Questions with @Donwill
His name is Donwill. Not Don Will. Or DonWill. Just Donwill. And this year, he released one of my favorite albums, Don Cusack In High Fidelity. He's also 1/3 of Tanya Morgan. The Cincinnati native is dope and his music, whether a feature or his own project, is always fresh. I definitely dig what he does. Anyway, this week Donwill decided to take the challenge. Check out how he answered five random questions, after the jump.

Sometimes I see these types of tracks and just pass them over. But for whatever reason I hit play on this jawn and you know what, I kinda dig it. I'd like to hear more original stuff from Elle Varner but what she does to the Miguel and J. Cole "All I Want Is You" is pretty smooth. Check it out and you tell me. Hit up the comment section with your thoughts. CHEA!

FIRST LISTEN: Time Crisis
It's different. Unique. Interesting. But at the end of the day, I dig the project. It's what I would call alternative Hip-Hop. It's probably a classification that Time Crisis would maybe be apprehensive to accepting but their sound is outside the norm of what you expect in Hip-Hop today. And that's not a bad thing.
This project, which has a taste of spoken word and all cool ass beats, isn't gonna be for everyone. If you enjoy your music in a box (like in the radio or tv or something) stop reading now because this project is outside of that box. Like I said, it's unique. The duo are making music.
Overall, Time Crisis' self titled project is enjoyable. Check out "Bricks" off of the project.

Check It ... Magestik Legend "Get.Ends.Hide." (Prod by Astronote)
Another VERY strong track from Magestik Legend. "Gets.Ends.Hide," another banger produced by Astronote, is the first official joint off of the upcoming To Be Continued ... Chapter 2, hosted by Big Pooh of Little Brother. According to the Magestik Legend camp, "Chapter 2 is the prequel to Magestik Legend’s upcoming full length album The Great Escape, which drops on November 30th." Looking forward to it. In the meantime, enjoy this joint.

Take Three: The Notorious B.I.G "Ready To Die"
"Get ready to die, tell God I said, "Hi""
Many writers, critics and fans alike are in their steadfast belief about Christopher Wallace's debut. Prolific, gritty, unabashed, and in songs such as "Juicy," "Big Poppa," and "One More Chance," it was an album that still is the gold standard for the Bad Boy sound. Debuts that have since come out focus more and more on the baller and player aspects of that Bad Boy aesthetic, but again, B.I.G. set the standard, and in turn charted his own destiny.
