Check It ... Gerald Walker "Nah baby, There's A Reason Why I Left You"

He might have overused the Cherokee reference (wait for it) but this track is just as funny as the Marsha Ambrosius' "I Hope She Cheats On You (With A Basketball Player)." Enjoy the track from Gerald Walker. Comedy.

What I'm Watching ... Black Milk "Welcome (Gotta Go)"

While folks fuck around with that Wackaveli (yeah, I know it's Wakaveli) album, I'll still blasting Black Milk's Album of the Year. This track is one of my favorite cuts on his project. The vid was shot on location in Detroit and directed by Anthony Garth and edited by Chris Chynoweth. Enjoy!

Download ... DJ Booth presents: ¡MAYDAY! - "Lords Of The Fly" (Mixtape)

Yet another offering from Miami's own. Always got great music, never disappoints me.
With the October 12, release of their sophomore studio album, Stuck on an Island, fast approaching, up-and-coming live-band crew ¡MAYDAY! have hooked up with DJBooth.net to give fans a taste of the island life on new mixtape Lords of the Fly.

The project features 26 brand new cuts from the Miami natives, who listeners may remember as Weezy's backing band on "Da Da Da," "Get a Life" and "On Fire." Included are exclusive remixes of all three (which Young Money green-lit), including this reader-approved remake of "On Fire."

Joining Bernbiz, Wrekonize, Plex Luthor, Gianni Cash, LT Hopkins and Nomz throughout Lords of the Fly are Cee Lo, David Banner, Mack Maine, NORE, STS, Ghostwridah, Devin The Dude and more. All beats come courtesy of ¡MAYDAY!, save for one joint coproduced by heavyweight beatsmith Jim Jonsin and another by up and comers Miami Beat Wave.

Here's a few tracks I like off the mixtape:

¡MAYDAY! - The Future is Now!

¡MAYDAY! - Red Carpet Affair (Miami Beat Wave Remix)

¡MAYDAY! - No Comp (feat. STS)

Download ... @CerromeRussell "Country Comedy Don Project" (Comedy Compilation)

The homie Cerrome Russell is pretty damn funny. Recently he uploaded a few of his clips from his stand up performances to create this compilation. The USMC veteran pulls from his life experiences, including his time in the military, life as a father, husband and country boy to create his comedy. Country Comedy Don Project is funny. So, we'll take a break from music for a minute and bring you some comedy courtesy of Cerrome Russell. Enjoy.

First of all this dude started his project off rhyming over the NC A&T Marching Band's rendition of Antoine Dodson's "Bed Intruder" track. Pretty funny. Anyway, overall this project from Cali emcee Warren Aguilar is pretty fresh. Check it out and enjoy!

Eric Sosa ... Get Familiar

Summer is surely gone but Eric Sosa gives us something to remember it by. The video, "Summer of Love", a track off of his "Rhyme & Noodles": No Artificial Flavoring Vol. 1, was screened at the 310 Lounge in New York City and released earlier this month.

Eric Sosa is a rapper from Queens who has been making waves all over the place. Knowing he wanted to rap from the age of 11, he is on the path to success. From MTV2 to EssenceOnline.com to Urban Latino Magazine, his presence is huge and he's all over the place. Boasting cool and clever lyrics, Sosa manages to capture his audience every time. He has worked with a lot of artists and has future projects coming as well. From the grapevine, I hear that he will be working with other artists featured on this site including FCE artist G-Swagg, another Queens underground artist moving into the spotlight quick.

Aside from a cool lyrical style, Sosa's fashion sense is on point. Always neat and clean cut, Sosa has a style all his own. Speaking of style, Eric Sosa has teamed up with David Joseph, Owner of L'Creme Clothing to create a signature T-Shirt. Music and fashion go hand in hand so to have these two come together and create a product should prove to be nothing but successful.

The launch happens Tuesday, September 28th in NYC at the Vault. Nude Vodka, Flud Watches and DJ Ernie B on the 1 & 2's are all set to bring the product to light. The L'Creme Wildcat Tee (Eric Sosa Colorway) will be available on L'Creme Clothing's Official Website. They are exclusive issue and will only be available while supplies last. The launch event is exclusive to invite only but you can still RSVP to kvenna@theimgway.com for entrance confirmation, if there is still space available. In the meantime, log on to www.ericsosa.com for Eric Sosa updates and keep up! See you tomorrow at the Vault!
