Download ... @ElGuante + @BigCatsbeats "Don't Be Nice"
Guante is a pretty dope spoken word artist. On Don't Be Nice, he takes that fresh spoken word sound to rhyme with beats provided by Big Cats! on a project executive produced by e.g. bailey + Sha Cage. Front to back, it's a very fresh project. Check it out.

Download ... BIG REC " RHHIB: The PreRECuisite"
BIG REC definitely puts a lot of music on his RHHIB: The PreRECuisite [Mixtape Vol. 1] project. There are a few interludes but mostly music. It's a good thing I think BIG REC is dope because a 25 track project might be hard to take but BIG REC delivers. His sound, dope. His lyrics, fresh. Check it out and enjoy!

The homie Adlib, who has been featured on the blog several times, reached out to me recently about a gang of beats he has for sale, for the low low of $25 per on his bandcamp. I'm just spreading that word. He'll be updating the page weekly and each beat will ONLY be sold once. Once you purchase a track, you can send any completed jawns to digitalkitchen411@gmail.com. $25 is a good deal. Check it out.

Egypto Knuckles & TMB - The Labor Day Mix
I'm one big on surprises, so for my post, allow me to present to you the Labor Day Mix.

The mix itself was compiled with the theme of Labor based around it. So here you have 11 jams built around the course of what goes through my mind on a workday. It may sound foolish at times, other times it may sound downright demented but you know, the whole purpose of labor is to work, so regardless of my thoughts, these might work for the rough work day you might be having on your days. Take today (and Monday if you got it off or not) to listen to these songs and reflect. Thanks to my fam over at The Mad Bloggers and my crew, Background Noise for the vision.
Please note: This mix was compiled from artists that are in no way, shape or form affiliated by The Mad Bloggers, Egypto Knuckles or Background Noise Crew, this is simply a labor of love where I wanted to just get this out to the people and open 'em up to new artists you may not be aware of. So without further adieu, go to the Bandcamp link below to download the mix and enjoy!

Throwback Sessions w/ EMS ... Uncle Sam - "I Don't Ever Want To See You Again"
I almost flipped my wig when I heard this come on Pandora because it's been so long. But I liked the song then, and sure enough, I still like it now. Hope everyone is having a great Saturday afternoon. Enjoy!

What I'm Watching ... @ChrisWebby - "Certified"
Chris Webby releases his latest video off his "The Underclassmen" album. Track produced by Philly Blunts. Video directed by John Ta. This Connecticut resident is gaining momentum with over 28K Facebook fans and packing shows in CT and NY. I peeped him at a show in Toad's Place earlier this year freestyling in the performer's waiting room. I also got to see what he does on stage and the amount of heads this cat brings in. We even featured him on our "The Journey To Hip-Hop : Connecticut" series. He'll be going places. Check it out.

Check It ... Kanye West "Devil in a New Dress"
After months and months of no Kanye West music, he dropped "Power" and sent the internets on fire. Then he started popping up everywhere like Facebook's office and officially joining twitter, among other places. Ye is on the comeback. Sometimes saying some questionable shit while he reemerges and even releasing some questionable tracks (*coughs* Justin Bieber *coughs*). Anyway, he's kicked off this G.O.O.D. Friday campaign, dropping tracks each week. This week's track, "Devil in a New Dress" is pretty fresh. I figured I would share. Enjoy.
