Throwback Sessions w/ EMS ... Uncle Sam - "I Don't Ever Want To See You Again"

I almost flipped my wig when I heard this come on Pandora because it's been so long. But I liked the song then, and sure enough, I still like it now. Hope everyone is having a great Saturday afternoon. Enjoy!

What I'm Watching ... @ChrisWebby - "Certified"

Chris Webby releases his latest video off his "The Underclassmen" album. Track produced by Philly Blunts. Video directed by John Ta. This Connecticut resident is gaining momentum with over 28K Facebook fans and packing shows in CT and NY. I peeped him at a show in Toad's Place earlier this year freestyling in the performer's waiting room. I also got to see what he does on stage and the amount of heads this cat brings in. We even featured him on our "The Journey To Hip-Hop : Connecticut" series. He'll be going places. Check it out.

Check It ... Kanye West "Devil in a New Dress"

After months and months of no Kanye West music, he dropped "Power" and sent the internets on fire. Then he started popping up everywhere like Facebook's office and officially joining twitter, among other places. Ye is on the comeback. Sometimes saying some questionable shit while he reemerges and even releasing some questionable tracks (*coughs* Justin Bieber *coughs*). Anyway, he's kicked off this G.O.O.D. Friday campaign, dropping tracks each week. This week's track, "Devil in a New Dress" is pretty fresh. I figured I would share. Enjoy.

Check It ... Mon’wel "Buggin’ (rmx)" feat. Fresh Daily & El Prez

I caught this in the inbox. I'm trying to clear most of the email before the holiday weekend (which I'm working, so no real vacation for me). Anyway, cool cut. Enjoy.

Track of the Week 9/3/10: "WhereTheHeartIs" EPonym (capitalEP)

As the story goes, Sauce sent me a track that he produced featuring Keno (both of theOTHERSIDE) that was on EPonym's OverAchiever EP. I dug the track. I posted it. And then sought out more of EP's music. I caught this track also off of OverAchiever. The whole project is fresh but damn this track went straight repeat for a while. Enjoy "WhereTheHeartIs," the track of the week.

Check It ... Humpasaur Jones "Bounce With It" feat. Signifire

Cool track. Check it out.
New track featuring DMV emcee Signifire (he's the first up to bat on this one) and produced by the infamous Russian beatsmith DJ Multiple Sex Partners.  There's going to be a lot more material with Signifire this Fall but the next project from Humpasaur Jones is the EP "Breakup Music" produced entirely by Boston-based scientist Dr. Quandary.

What I'm Watching ... DTMD - "A Loan For The Lonely"

"...and I can't hate / cause they appeal to a whole 'nother ear my message don't even translate / why worry about another man's fate / when I'm trying to get my piece of the pie and make my own plate." No doubt!!! I'm feeling this track. Video is simple and chill. It's definitely about the music. Check it.

What EMS Is Watching ... The Roots feat. Musiq - "Break You Off"

I swear I'm going to stop flooding the people with posts, BUT when I'm feeling something, I have to break you off. Ha. Perhaps I'm getting the Q trigger finger itch... *inside joke* Anyway, so when I did the Throwback Sessions w/ EMS ... The Roots feat. Erykah Badu - "You Got Me," I saw the "suggested video" of "Break You Off" (2002) and I'd never seen it. I know I'm late, but I'm here now. I've always thought The Roots were DOPE, but I haven't checked everything they've done. I listen to so much music in a day, it's hard to get it all in. The point is, I'm feeling this jawn and if you hadn't heard the song or seen the video, watch it! They've been in the game for so long and I give them so much love. They keep it real and they keep it interesting and unique. You pretty much can't go wrong when it comes to The Roots. So enjoy.

Throwback Sessions w/ EMS ... Goodie Mob - "They Don't Dance No More"

What can I say? I love bringing it back to the A. I mean c'mon, you know everybody was listening to this in the 90s. Sugaloaf is back in the building. Haha.

"People don't dance no more, all they do is this."
