We don't get as many emails as some other bloggers but we definitely get our fair share and even with two people checking the inbox, it's hard to keep up sometimes. Every so often we get a few days behind and that creates chaos in the inbox. I go in and try my best to sort through. Once I've weeded out the wack shit, instead of hitting you with a gang of posts, I consolidate them into one giant feature. I've done this a few times. Lazy? Perhaps. But it still gets the music out there. This time I decided to even simplify that by creating a new bandcamp album featuring those loose tracks from various projects. The tracks are dope and in no particular order. Check out more information about each below. Enjoy.
Track Info:

Having solidified his rep as a high caliber lyricist amongst his peers, Mr. Rae steps into the solo terrain and in order to expand the ever growing Str8Buttah brand teams up with Zambian based producer Dj PeeWee on this hard hitting track aptly titled 3rd World Super Star."
#Latepass on this joint for sure. It's been sitting in my inbox since August 2. Damn, sometimes the inbox gets out of hand and things get lost in the mix. Alright, alright, enough of the excuses and right to the music. Check out the project from Mark Milly. Tight production, fresh rhymes. Enjoy "Now and Later"
"Broken Dreams" is a pretty fresh project from J. Nolan. The CT born, Atlanta raised emcee who even spent a few years in the bay area of California, has been influenced musically by all of these areas. His "Broken Dreams" project, which features all original production, is well done. The project is presented by The Connoisseurs of Culture (DifferentKitchen.blogspot.com, PleaseDontStare.com & TheCouchSessions.com)
Ahhh, new music. Check the latest project from Whaz x Haz Solo, "VILLA DE LA VILLAIN", a pretty dope beat tape. I caught this a day or so ago and need to share. The tape sets a real cool vibe. I'm sure you'll dig it! Enjoy.
Kooley High is dope. I wish more folks would check out the phenomenal music this crew puts out. Recently they released Eastern Standard Time and that joint was on straight repeat for days and a few of the tracks have been featured on Hip-Hop Breakfast and The Mad Bloggers Show. I really can't say it enough, Kooley High is dope. Check out the video for Ya' Times Up, directed by John Holland of Greenbench Productions. Graffiti by Close. Enjoy.
Lega-C has been talking about this project for a while and now it's finally here. "Academic Probation" is filled with some dope cuts from the DMV emcee, packed with great production and not too heavy on the features, which is good. Lega delivers with just 12 cuts of what he calls "a deliberate tracklist." Just before the release, Lega went took to twitter to say about the project, "every song is another piece of the story. Another page in the book of Academic Probation."
I caught this joint over at the homie J Crillz's spot, Hip Hop is Cool Again. Fresh video from Stalley. Enjoy.
In commemoration of the upcoming 5th Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina (Aug. 29, 2010), Director and New Orleans' own Brandan "BMike" Odums and 2-Cent (www.2-cent.com) present Stalley in "Babblin'" (Prod. by J. Rawls).
BMike was inspired to capture the current state of New Orleans by creating a visual accompaniment to Stalley's "Babblin'", off of the Ohio native's "The Autobiography", because he felt the song unintentionally represented the existing dichotomy in his city so well. Today, tourists and residents alike enjoy all that New Orleans has to offer, but many never visit the ninth ward or acknowledge the remnants of destruction that remain.
The imagery in "Babblin'" serves as a blunt reminder that the Katrina tragedy should not and cannot be forgotten, but through it all we must unite and rejoice to ensure life and the beautiful city of New Orleans live on.
Yeah, I went to the West Coast for this morning's tracks. Enjoy a few talented Cali emcees as we kick off the week. Chea!

Bandcamp trapped me like youtube does sometimes. One project led to another and another and another. I found myself bumping into Otayo Dubb. Another dope project. The beats and rhymes knock hard on this joint! It was released back in March but dates ain't nothing but a number. Ha! Enjoy.
From a town called Make It Work but its the suburb of a city called Pay Me First.
Another bandcamp Cali find. I had to share. Real chill vibe, with some dope beats. A year old but new to me and probably a gang of ya'll too. Don't front, cause this joint is still dope. So, enjoy like it came out yesterday! You can also check out the more recent project, SunShine. Also dope. Check out SLik d. Chea!
