Download ... @TheStuyvesants present Brooklyn’s Finest

I caught this joint via Jess over at iheartdilla.com. In case you don't follow me on twitter, I figured I'd share here too! This joint is dope and has been on since she sent me the link earlier. Check it out and enjoy!
“The Stuyvesants” present Brooklyn’s Finest, released on SD records. 25 tracks of blood, sweat, and tears…backed by a serious passion for hearing and creating great music. Come join music producer Allan Cole (Algorythm) and record collector Darien Victor Birks (Flwrpt) on a journey through the sound of Bed-Stuy.
Head over to thestuyvesants.com for the preview and download link.

Download ... Dameon Ellzey "A Shift in the Wind"

I download a lot of things over the course of a day and a week. For some reason I don't recall downloading this joint or where it even came from. Now that I think about it, I might have caught this joint from Haz Solo. Anyway, while sorting through the desktop of the iMac (the first download point for a lot of my music before it finds it's way to the MacBook), I opened this joint. From the first track through the last, the joint is dope. I'll take the late pass since this project dropped in early May BUT "A Shift in the Wind" is worth the download and listen! Late or not, check it out and enjoy.

Speaking of which, "To Be Continued... Chapter 1" is soon to be RE-RELEASED as a downloadable file with all separated tracks.  Here is the first individual track, available NOW for download.

TMB's Track of the Week 6/8/10 "Thunder Summer Storm" @MelissaCzarnik

Melissa Czarnik has been featured on the blog a few times. I dig her music. Every time I write about her sound, I throw the words "unique", "different" and "alternative" around. Indeed it is all of those things. "Thunder Summer Storm" (produced by Eric Mire) is one of my favorite tracks off of Melissa's "Strawberry Cadillac". It's a very chill track with depth in it's lyrics. Melissa is wrapping up work on her upcoming project due out late July. I'm excited to hear the new work. In the meantime, enjoy "Thunder Summer Storm", the track of the week.
