Check It ... Short Fuze "Don't Feed the Machine"

The good folks over at Uncommon Records definitely have a different take on music sometimes. I dig their style and their approach. Check out the new track from Short Fuze "Don't Feed the Machines" produced by the homie Nasa.
"Here's the first leaked track from Short Fuze's debut solo LP Lobotomy Music with Nasa. The album features Short Fuze (of W.A.S.T.E.L.A.N.D.S.) on vocals with Nasa handling the full album's production. Look for the full length featuring cameos from Nasa, Cirrus Minor, Eleven, Karniege, Passive65ive and W.A.S.T.E.L.A.N.D.S. in June!"

Check It ... Epsilon Project "Inspiration"

I initially caught this track over at hiphopiscoolagain.com and then over at potholesinmyblog.com too. I had already downloaded the track by the time J-Pro, representing Epsilon Project, hit me up. The crew out of Oxnard, CA teamed up with producer Kev Brown for "Inspiration". The track is tough! It's off their upcoming "Audacity" EP dropping May 25. Enjoy.

There's a gang of people that would be surprised that I dig this project. Sure, I skipped a few tracks but overall I cranked this joint LOUD. Mississippi emcee/producer Big K.R.I.T. teamed up with DJBooth.net to bring you "K.R.I.T. Wuz Here" The project is full of dope rhymes, movie references and samples. It's good. Here's two of favorite cuts off the project. Head over to DJBooth.net and preview the full project. If you dig it, go 'head and download it.

Check It ... Reinvention "Forgot" feat. Florence and The Machine

I caught this track in the email a few days ago. It sat, like many emails. Sometimes I'm lazy. I finally opened it. I dig it. I'm now sharing. If you dig it, pay it forward and share this ish too!
"We’re DJ Entendu and Classic, and together we make up Reinvention. Reinvention is a two-piece experimental hip-hop outlet from Drexel University, founded just a few months ago in the same studios that spawned Chiddy Bang. We blend influences from indie rock and electronica with more traditional hip-hop music and try to make huge bangers that can appeal to anybody from a dancing fiend to a top-down, wind-in-your-hair, cross-country roadtripper."

The Journey to Hip-Hop ... Connecticut: The Protege (of Phenetiks)

The Protege was born and raised in Waterbury, Connecticut. I grew up in Waterbury. Spent most of my childhood and a portion of my adult life there. Oddly enough though, the first time I caught any music from The Protege was by way of his "No Pressure" video a few weeks back. The visuals caught me and his flow sealed the deal. I wanted to hear more of his stuff. The dude is dope. Check these cuts from the Connecticut emcee!

The Journey To Hip-Hop ... Connecticut: d_Cyphernauts - "The Suspense"

These guys I've seen perform and met a bunch of times and they're good dudes. Educated, Hip-Hop loving MCs that hosts Enter The Cipher every 3rd Friday at Cousin Larry's in Danbury, CT, a staple for that event as much as this track we got for you here. Not your ordinary set of MCs from the name of their group (d_Cyphernauts), to their individual names (Othello & Nemesis Alpha), to their performances on stage. Definitely should check them out. Here's the track they hooked me up with titled "The Suspense", produced by Connecticut native Sketch Tha Cataclysm.

Put seven emcees on a track at 16 bars each and you get a jawn over 5 minutes. That's cool cause these cats go in on "Se7en Deadly Sins". It's a pretty dope track. Check it.

What I'm Watching ... Toyota's Swagger Wagon [SMDH]

So, Toyota, this is how you're going to do it? Huh? [LMAO] But does the Swagger Wagon's brakes work? What? Too soon? By the way, where my mother-fathers at?! (AND can I possibly sneak another question mark in? YES!)
