Alicia Keys Album Cover (part 2) ... thoughts?
Caught this updated Alicia Keys cover over at rapradar.com. Thoughts? As many saw earlier in the week an unofficial cover for Alicia's upcoming project, The Element of Freedom, was released, where she had this Joan of Arc type of look. Both covers, Alicia looks great on. Maybe I'm being bias. What are your thoughts?

Check It ... V.V. Brown "Leave" + Dope "Day 'N Nite" Cover
UK singer V.V. Brown is dope. Her song covers are fresh and so are the original tracks. They say that she's a more upbeat Amy Winehouse but I think her sound is unique and her own. The British singer-songwriter is releasing an ep, "The Attic", available on iTunes November 17, 2009, with a full project in the works. Check out her track "Leave" and her creative cover to Kid Cudi's "Day 'n Nite". I dig her sound, check it out.
"Titled, The Attic EP, the four-track digital tracklisting is: "Game Over," "Quick Fix," along with "Crying Blood (Andrew Weatherall Remix)," and an acoustic performance of "Shark in the Water." - all key tracks from her forthcoming album. The first U.S. physical release, a 7- inch single, is scheduled for November 17th - "LEAVE! (Little Boots Mix)" coupled with "Crying Blood (Andrew Weatherall Remix)." The full album TRAVELLING LIKE THE LIGHT, described in the U.K. press as "a perfect pop cocktail" (The Sun) and "Spector-ish pop as slick as her black pompadour...her vocal shines through every track" (Elle), is set for U.S. release on February 9, 2010."Official: www.vvbrown.com

Download ... Jovi Rockwell "Psycho Therapy"
"Music is music and I represent a culture not a specific area, the only time you belong in a box is when your dead." -Jovi Rockwell
Check out Jovi Rockwell's mixtape “Psycho Therapy”. I definitely enjoy it. It's a different sound and I really dig it. As her mixtape intro reads, "Jovi is known for her eccentric style and original flavor". She delivers that on "Psycho Therapy". Enjoy.

Freestyle ... There's an App For That
Yeah, caught this a day or so ago. Kind of a dope app for the iPhone. Me and O have gone back and forth about perhaps the app creating a rise in wannabe emcees. Eh, maybe. Or maybe this will be a great mobile tool for real artists. I respect the app a bit more because of the Tanya Morgan co-sign.
"Freestyle is a mobile tool for songwriters, emcees and poets on the go. Be prepared when and wherever inspiration strikes. Freestyle's advanced notepad contains the integrated Schirmer's Complete Rhyming Dictionary, an industry standard including over 96,000 rhymes, so you will never be lost for words. Then record tracks on the fly backed by a selection of exclusive beats and rhythm tracks. Show off your skills to friends by emailing them your recordings and lyrics, take that crush to the next level with a custom rap, or simply use Freestyle to record demos and ideas to work on later."www.freestyleapplication.com

Road to Release Day: Eternia & MoSS: "AT LAST" Episode 13
You already know what it is, another episode of Road to Release.
In Episode #13 the world is introduced to super-producer MoSS. Admittedly an elusive cat, MoSS appears w/ Eternia on FLOW 93.5 FM in Toronto to debut the world premiere of a song from "AT LAST". DJ Premier, Termanology and Statik Selektah speak on why MoSS is that dude, and MoSS gets excited over some banned vinyl from Chile. Just another day in the studio...

R.Me "The Kids Play" feat. SoleBlind
I caught this track/video from the homies over at Rebels Music. It's dope. Enjoy.
"This song is about children being in the worst conditions and as a child, that is the time to learn and grow. But children in many areas are born into poverty and war and are forced to live under the most harsh circumstances."
