Kobe & LeBron feat Lil Dez Parody Commercial

Caught this on twitter! Hilarious. It takes the Lil Dez baby sitting commercial to another level. It was remixed by Jersey Chaser. It's funny. Enjoy.

The Poet of Truth

"She's something like a carpenter or an architect whose fundamental building blocks are words. Embodying her title, she is THE POET OF TRUTH."

Caught this vid as a post from a friend on facebook. I really appreciate straight spoken word. She is pretty dope! Don't know why dude said "sexual chocolate" at the end, cause that kind of threw the mood off but it's a dope spoken word vid. Check her out!

THE 5th ANNUAL BROOKLYN HIP-HOP FESTIVAL

I received info a few weeks back on Brooklyn Bodega's Twitter page about a festival they're throwing for the 5th year. I visited their website and saw previous performers and this years performers and thought to myself, "For a small $10 donation, you're telling me I can check out all these artists? Excited to go and take lots of pics to blog about. I know it's gonna be a dope event. Check out the performers listed here...

Road to Release Day: Eternia & MoSS: "AT LAST"

We featured Eternia on the blog a while back! The moment we landed on her MySpace page, we knew she was DOPE!! She's been on her grind for a while, but recently completed her project with producer MoSS -- Eternia & MoSS: "AT LAST". Now they're on the road to shopping for a record deal, promoting the album and countdown to the release date and she's taking fans along for the ride. She'll be dropping two videos monthly. We'll definitely be keeping tabs and featuring her on the blog! Definitely trying to support the grassroots movement and good music!

This first video is an introduction. Respect her sense of humor cause I laughed hard at the mask she's wearing. Nothing funny about those rhymes though. She's got a dope personality.

Shout to DJ SAV*ONE and www.theundergroundcomeup.com for the link and email!

Check her blog below and first video.

From Eternia's MySpace Blog:

It's finally done.

I delivered our album master & album artwork to the Ontario Arts Council this past Monday June 1st. The OAC was our main 'investor' for the project, and we were working towards their deadline over the last year and a half. I suppose I should be breathing a sigh of relief, right? The album is finally finished... At Last!

But who am I kidding... the work is really just beginning.

We still have to shop the album to record labels, and Lord Willing find a deal that is the lesser of countless evils. Once those meetings are over, and a contract finalized, we have to set a release date. Then we have to promote the hell outta our new album for 4 months leading up to that date. I'm talkin radio, live shows, blogs, press, reviews, youtube videos, corny "look who eternia was caught kissing!" publicist propaganda... *LOL*.. I jest, I jest. But u get the idea :-). And all that to say, its really when the album drops that we'll know where we're at. When YOU GUYS, the people that really matter, get to tell us what YOU think. We Made This Album for You.

So that's the day I am counting down to. Because that's what trully matters.

So, over the next 6 months I invite you to come along on a journey with MoSS and I: the Road to Release Day.

I'm going to be doing what I do best: no holds barred video, photos & text coverage of our experience. This is the one place you will get an exclusive backstage pass to my life (LOL - that just sounds so self-important - I can't help but laugh at myself). How bout this: this is the one place you will get The Truth.

I can't wait for the future to unfold. Thank you guys for rollin' with me.

For now, I formerly introduce to you the new SuperGroup:
Eternia & MoSS : At Last.

Stay tuned,

Me.(e)

Jay Smooth: Operation Ignore Charles Hamilton

We respect Jay Smooth and his vids are dope and make you think. He takes a look at the Charles Hamilton situation. I think it's insightful. Basically ignore Charles Hamilton's random statements and only pay attention if he's linking us to a video or some of his music. Check out Jay Smooth's video: Operation Ignore Charles Hamilton.

From Original Post
A long episode that doesn't have a lot of jokes in it, cuz I really feel bad for the kid and am not trying to clown him. I know he keeps telling himself it's okay to have everyone hating him as long as they keep paying attention. But at this point it's clearly not okay.

Grown Folk Music ... Dead Prez "Mind Sex"

Lets Get Free is a classic album from Dead Prez! I found myself listening to it today at one point while I endured my 12-hour adventure from upstate New York through to NYC and then up to CT to visit family over the next week.

The radio is saturated with a lot of questionable music as it pertains to relationships and sex, most notably Kiss Me Thru the Phone from Soulja Boy and Lil Kim's Download. It makes you question, do people even have in person relationships anymore?

Well, this joint right here ... Mind Sex is strictly some grown folk shit. But really, what do you except from a crew like Dead Prez that keeps it so real. It's definitely an older track but needed to be shared! Enjoy!

Check It ... Shad "Rock to It"

This is older footage from Shad for the track "Rock to It". It's actually a real dope acoustic set. Respect to shadk-osmusic.blogspot.com for doing the original post. We really enjoy the music from the Canadian emcee.

The Old Prince album is set for a US release date of June 30th.

GOSSIP W/THA LADY BLOGGA: Let it Burn ... Usher and Wife are Splitting?

According to reports, Usher Raymond and his wife Tameka Foster are letting their marriage "burn". After almost two years and two kids later, they are divorcing. I am sure Usher's mom is doing the jig because she was against this union from the get-go. Hopefully she will keep the "I told you so's" to a minimum.

Who marries their personal assistant anyway??

It seems that the two have been living apart for a year already. They have been sharing the parenting duties but that's about it. When Tameka suffered a heart attack in Brazil from plastic surgery, he immediately flew to her side. It seems that Tameka's plastic surgery rendezvous was a trip Usher knew nothing about. And could have possibly been the straw that broke the camel's back. Hmm...

Now the two are no strangers to relationship drama. In Nov. 2008, Usher was caught flirting and cavorting with female club-goers and models while Tameka was at home. Now I'm no idiot but this behavior is common amongst celebrities. Right? And as long as he loves you and you are the "main-chick" it's okay (that's a blog for another day). And as his personal assistant you already know how he gets down. Sooo... What's the problem?

Whatever the reason being, it is unfortunate to see a married couple split, especially with kids involved. Usher seems to be a devoted dad and takes great pride in taking care of his children. One can only hope that 2 can be civil and be good parents for the kids.
