Download: Man Mantis - "Majestic Dimensions Vol. III"
Here's something a little different for you folks with "Majestic Dimensions Vol. III" in the form of what they're labeling it as electronic and Hip-Hop by Man Mantis. This 4 track project with one feature by the name of Sole took me on a quick trip away from my norm. Refreshing departure that I suggest you folks take by hitting play as well.

PremRock & Willie Green "Diary of a Dreamer" (Man Mantis Remix)
Diary of a Dreamer was one of the stand out tracks on PremRock & Willie Green's self titled release. Then it got the remix treatment courtesy of the Midwest beat man Man Mantis, and they took an already dope track and gave it another push. From their Reassembled project of remixed cuts, this joint continues to be a go to track. Hit play and enjoy. Chea!

First Listen: Man Mantis "Cities Without Houses"
I'm gearing up for what I imagine will be a stressful 72 hours.
So, when I hit play on the newest project from the faceless Wisconsin producer Man Mantis, it set me at ease and took my mind off of that fast approaching 72 hours of traveling, waiting and dealing with this and that back home. Man Mantis is no stranger to the blog, having been posted on the site a few times with either individual projects or collabs with other folks. The dude is extremely talented and I dig his work. His latest, Cities Without Houses is a very chill project. Among my favorite cuts, "Minor Aches and Pains", "Everything Is Fine" and "Be Just This"."Teacups of Our Ashes" is definitely my favorite on the project.
Definitely a fresh project. Enjoy.
A little bit about the project from Man Mantis:
"Monday, March 11th saw the release of Cities Without Houses, the first solo LP from masked Madison, WI producer Man Mantis. Released on World Around Records, Cities Without Houses is the follow up to Mantis’ well-regarded Sea Ambulance EP, and is filled with the same kind of druggy, highly orchestrated sonic landscapes that made Sea Ambulance so intriguing. Produced, mixed and mastered entirely by Man Mantis during late 2009 and throughout 2010, Cities Without Houses is now available as a “pay what you like” download through Man Mantis’. In addition, he has just launched a Kickstarter campaign to get a limited run of vinyl LPs and cassette tapes of “Cities Without Houses” manufactured."

Man Mantis "Sea Ambulance EP"
Honestly, I think Man Mantis is a hell of a beat maker/producer. I've posted a few of his solo offerings, as well as his work with other folks too. Outside of all of that, Man Mantis is cool people. Check out the latest offering from the talented Man Mantis. These beats definitely knock. Enjoyable with or without vocals. Enjoy. Chea!

Check It ... K. Raydio "Significant (Other) Part II"
I listen to a lot of Hip-Hop now but I was raised by soul music. I grew up in a house where Aretha, Luther, Gladys, Patti, Ray and others were my music teachers. And when I'm having a tough day, I return to soul music to mellow me out.
So, when the homie Man Mantis emailed me the latest K. Raydio project, Significant (Other) Part II, I quickly hit play. Last year I fell in love with the voice of K. on Significant (Other). She's got that neo-soul thing going on and Man Mantis who produced all but one track ("Prayin'" produced by Charlie Kim) brings that voice alive over some dope production.
This is a solid project. Among my favorite cuts on the six track EP is "Protocol" and "I See You (Zone Out)."
So, since I'm feeling this project so much let's make a deal. If you dig it, pay it forward and share it with a friend. I'm afraid that too many people will sleep on Significant (Other) Part II. Doing that will be a mistake. Support good music. Chea!

Check It ... Clearing Out the Inbox
Every now and again, we get waaaaaaaaaaay behind on checking the emails in The Mad Bloggers' gmail account. The results is a ridiculous amount of email to go through. Honestly, some of what finds its way into our inbox is garbage (in our opinion). But among the trash is some pretty good music. We pride ourselves on giving indie cats a listen. Instead of posting 50 individual posts (exaggeration), I'm gonna throw a gang of them into here. Enjoy.

This J Dante x Man Mantis project dropped back in April. We even included one of the tracks on an episode of our podcast. Pretty dope project. Popped up in our email recently and I realized that I never posted up the full project. Download it. It's worth it.
"Off the specially released "The Opus of the Opus " mixtape coming soon, mixed by Chicago DJ veteran Risky Bizness, The Ocean featuring Slug from Atmosphere leak is part of a special culmination of beats and rare collaborations that the OPUS brought to the country of Japan while touring the cities of Tokyo, Osaka, and Gumma."

"Hip Hop, Drama and Love. Three isolated things but yet three things one sees daily in the city of Chicago. Welcome to the world of K.Vincent, a young emcee hailing from the forgotten but not gone area of Uptown Chicago. It's the experience of living in the North side neighborhood of Uptown that molds the music and background of K.Vincent's raps; the topics range from the pressures of grinding to get a bigger slice of the pie to contemplating what to do when a man is staring at his lowest point. With a refreshing style that can be related to by anyone of any circumstance or calling."

In an effort to prove that lyricism is still alive among females MC's, Trinity rips through verses with creative intellectually savvy flows. Her first single entitled #1 (Number One) is produced by Chicago's Phantem, who samples Bahamadia for the hook."
