Download: Allen Poe - "Pocket Full of Ohms"

Allen Poe has definitely come a long way from a few of the singles he'd hit me up with back in the day. I can hear the growth in this album and the hard work. For a free album, you're pretty much getting a bargain and a half because I could easily see myself coppin' this joint for some bucks. Good music here.

Pocket Full Of Ohms, clearly a play on UGK's classic Pocket Full of Stones, is a record that attempts to account for my coming of age in what many consider hip hop's golden age (the 90's) and how hip hop influenced me, not as an artist, but as a man.

This record features production by J57, Nemo Achida, Foreign Allegiance, Brock Berrigan, Cody Jordan, Lofidel and ILL CLINTON among others. Featured artists include Von Pea, yU, Sheisty Khrist, Emma Shaheen, Basement Up and others.

Allen Poe - "Gina" ft Basement Up & Von Pea (produced by Nemo Achida)

Finally playing a little catch up on some music with this smooth, summer feeling, upbeat joint by the homie Allen Poe (1/3 of KY's MC trio Basement Up). With Von Pea of Tanya Morgan assisting on the mic, "Gina", produced by Nemo Achida, comes as Allen's first single off his upcoming LP "Pocket Full of Ohms" set to release Fall 2013. As Allen Poe puts it, "It is a comedic recounting of the frustrations of high school nerds misfiring with the ladies." Check it.

Audible Doctor - "F.U.B.U." featuring Von Pea (of Tanya Morgan) (Prod. by marink)

This is for us, by us. They don't support, they illegally download and they tell you that they bought it.

I can see this joint relating to a lot of artists I know personally. Folks gotta get back to buying them albums and hitting up the shows when they're giving you quality music. Word up.
"The Audible Doctor (of The Brown Bag AllStars) and Von Pea (of Tanya Morgan) have teamed up over marink's soulful production to bring you "F.U.B.U", the newest leak off Audible Doctor's upcoming FREE EP. The Full EP titled "I Think That..." is set to drop September 25th."

What's industry rule 4080? Well, this is part two. Off of the Bodega Brovas Fancy Anthrax: Pre-Loaded Guns & Alcohol comes a solid winner with M Slago on production, DJ Sean P with the cuts and a feature from Von Pea of Tanya Morgan. I definitely dig it. Blast this one and enjoy! Chea!

Check It ... J.GOOD - "Look On The Brightside"

From the Sauce Fonda produced Intro to the last track touching on subjects of first class coach seats and taking a lady friend wherever in the world she may want to go, this album is a pretty good one. J.GOOD puts in work on the mic backed by cool production. This one got played through easily and enjoyably. He's giving this dope product away for a $1 or for free. What's one dollar?! Cheap and easy support. Check it out!

T.U.S member and Sacramento resident J.Good drops his long awaited debut project. Featuring the likes of Von Pea, L.E.G.A.C.Y, TiRon, El Prez, Ayomari & Keno. With production from Jansport J, Hannibal King, Nefarious and more. Twitter.com/jgoodtus

The track was produced by T.U.S. (The Usual Suspects) brethren Tellapath. With cuts from DJ Jun, this track is definitely a winner. Enjoy. Chea!

Check It ... YC The Cynic "More and More" feat. Soul Khan, Von Pea, Sene (Prod. J57)

YC The Cynic, Soul Khan, Von Pea and Sene destroy on this track. It's impossible to pick a favorite verse. With the lead off by YC it's tough to follow until Soul Khan hits. At which point you think you've heard the best. Nah, Von Pea and Sene on the backend of the track bring it home. I liken the verses on this track to four quarters of basketball and each quarter these four emcees increase the lead by 20, with J57 coaching on the production.

Having heard the advance of Fall FWD, "More and More" is just the tip of the iceberg of dope tracks. With a few posse cuts and a strong offering of solo joints, what YC does with his latest offering, due out March 1st, is take a bold and serious step forward. Don't believe me now but be prepared for the I-told-you-so-face I hit you with when Fall FWD drops.

Enjoy "More and More" in the meantime. Chea!

Download ... @Donwill & @VonPea (of @TanyaMorgan) "The Sandwich Shop"

I'm not gonna lie and be like I've been checking Tanya Morgan for a while. It wasn't until last year that they popped up on my radar. Since then I have been checking their collective and solo work (even going back and copping some of the earlier projects). The homie Donwill's "Don Cusack In High Fidelity" gets weekly plays. Anyway, two thirds of Tanya Morgan (Donwill and Von Pea) dropped "The Sandwich Shop: Cos Hoes Gotta Eat Too!" today. Yeah, get that, ASAP!
Riding a wave of critical and commercial success, and fresh off a successful tour if the UK, Donwill and Von Pea, two-thirds of acclaimed rap group Tanya Morgan, are proud to announce The Sandwich Shop.

The project sees the two witty MCs rapping over The Roots "Sandwiches", a collection of short musical segments released by drummer Questlove in late December 2009. "Sandwiches" consists of the tunes that The Roots play coming in and out of commercial break on their nightly gig on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Tanya Morgan members Donwill and Von Pea decided to rap over some choice selections of "Sandwiches" and cleverly renamed the project The Sandwich Shop: Cos Hoes Gotta Eat Too!
