Salutations and welcome to the first edition of The Mad Video Selection. We take 5 of the hottest videos and put them on display for your viewing pleasure. This week we had a hard time choosing who to select for our inaugural post. After some deliberation and a touch of Grey Goose, we finally cropped the list down to five. All of these videos are worth a watch or three. If you would like your video to be considered for this list email ReadBeanpie@gmail.com. Check out the rest of the videos after the jump. Enjoy!
Sometimes you need a laugh and this video definitely gave me that. This dude use to work for me like 200 years ago (ha, okay maybe 8). He was funny then and he's funny now. He's been putting together these sketch videos each week and dropping them on the net. However, it's his Dominican Spiderman that's gaining the most attention right now. The vid had 10,000 hits in just the first 24 hours and now it's up to over 20k hits. Omar is a funny dude. Check out the vid. Ha!
I did this video 7 months ago clowning what I call the pop rap crap formula. This is the video that also created Yung Lil Bullshit. At the end of the day, support real music, please.
So........9pm rolls around and the fellas get on the conference. Khal, ThroatChopu aka Q, BeanPie aka Shaun and I are discussing 10 videos to list for Shaun's BeanPiePromotions.com site. We were looking for a bonus video, something we can kinda laugh at. Khal decides to hit us with this cat named 50 Tyson. I don't even know where to begin. The name? The speech? The flows? The delivery? The punchlines? Wow. I'm speechless besides the nonstop losses of breath due to the overwhelming laughter. Again, wow. See for yourself.
Wine has always been my beverage of choice. People would laugh and say wine was for old folks. Not true though. Wine is for grown folks and if you don’t know about it then you’re not grown. Researching music on YouTube led me to something called The Wine Connoisseur’s Video Blog featuring Sadat X, produced by Will Tell. I saw the names Sadat X and Will Tell and instantly thought it was music related. It is but it isn’t…
The wine blog episodes are designed like the HBO series “Curb Your Enthusiasm”. No script, just basic guidelines to follow. Improv and Sadat’s personality make the episodes pop. After a few swigs and Sadat’s storytelling flair, the Episodes come to life and are hella funny. Their viewers send them wine from all over to try and that’s how they create their episodes.
I had to know how this came about so I caught up with Mr. Will Tell, the producer himself, and asked him to give me the scoop. Basically this all started because he wanted to chronicle Sadat X’s studio experiences for something called the X Files. Henny was the drink of choice in the studio. When the Henny’s in the system, Sadat is funny as hell. Henny is expensive and one day that wasn’t in the budget. They had to settle for a bottle of wine, el Gato Negro to be exact. What they didn’t know was that wine is much cheaper and creates a better buzz. Will Tell decided that Sadat should do a commercial for the wine and it evolved into a weekly episode blog.
Check out Episode #8 with wine from the Duplin Winery… Compliments of my homegirl @Mlissa910!! ENJOY and subscribe to the series. Follow the episodes, you will not be disappointed.
There's no secret how I felt about "We Are the World 25" with the lack of sangers (yes, sangers) and the inclusion of auto-tune, T-Pain and that gawd awful rap choir at the end. Folks keep telling me, "Q, it's not about who was on it but the cause." With all due respect, eff that argument! This youtube version is >>>>>>>>>>> than the "We Are the World 25". Purely my opinion (but pretty close to fact). While this version is not perfect, I respect it way more. It might be that lack of auto tune and absence of T-Pain, I don't know. Check it out and you tell me.
