The Hollowz "Bleed"
2011 was a busy year for hip-hop duo The Hollowz.
They released their debut album "Dreams Of Sex And Flying."
Producer Ed Cayce released instrumental album "Fears Of Sex And Flying," beat tape "Puppycrusher: The Anthology," and produced music for the wildly popular Epic Rap Battles series on YouTube.
Emcee Logic teamed with fellow emcee/producer Raze to release the LP "...STILL untitled" as well as the EP "...untitled LIVE."
Recently The Hollowz have re-teamed to start working on new music for a new project and inspired by this work, they've released a brand new song!
"Bleed" is a track that originally was to be used as the final track - and only track to feature vocals - of the instrumental "Fears Of Sex And Flying," acting as a bridge into the next The Hollowz album. However, due to messy personal issues, Ed Cayce had to cut production of "FOSAF" where he did, meaning this track was not finished until now.

Uni.Fi Records Presents Speak Easy + Break Bread
The good folks over at Uni.Fi Records dropped off two new tracks in my inbox featuring two of Milwaukee's hardest working emcees.
The first cut comes from SPEAK Easy from his upcoming Just Saying EP due out early 2012 in collaboration with Uni.Fi. The track is produced by Ed Cayce (1/2 of The Hollowz). This is another solid joint from SPEAK. The second joint comes from BREAK BREAD (Dana Coppa and Ricanstrukta). As part of their upcoming project, The Reunion, due out this winter is also a solid cut.
Hit play on both and enjoy. Chea! Follow the madness: twitter.com/themadbloggers_

I'm a fan of the Milwaukee Hip-Hop scene. There's no secret there. So, on this Thursday I decided to post up three cool videos coming from some talented folks out of Wisconsin. Great production, quality videos and solid tracks. Enjoy. Chea!

Raze "Off My Rocker" featuring Logic (of The Hollowz)
Since last summer’s release of his sophomore album, Living in Technocolor, Raze’s reputation of being a wild card and too blunt at times has grown exponentially with a constant stream of public thoughts that call out whatever he feels needs to be called out at that time.
Finally, Raze admits that he’s gone “crazy” with his new song that features the equally-as-tortured rapper, Logic (of The Hollowz).
The song “Off My Rocker” (produced by Raze himself) unleashes nothing less than an eyebrow raising, and even macabrely humorous, walk through the thoughts of two emcees that aren’t afraid to let the “crazy” fly when it’s proper and necessary to do so.

The Hollowz release new singles: "Nice To Meet You" ft. A.P.R.I.M.E. & "Your Place (Or Mine...No Yours)"
To support the release of their new album Dreams Of Sex And Flying, Milwaukee hip-hop duo The Hollowz are releasing an A-side/B-side for your immediate listening and downloading pleasure.
Emcee Logic and producer Ed Cayce, came together in 2009 to form The Hollowz and have developed a great musical chemistry which led to the creation of 2010's The Premonition EP and of course 2011's DOSAF.
The first single off of DOSAF,"Nice To Meet You" features AUTOMatic's emcee A.P.R.I.M.E. and showcases the smooth-as-velvet flow both Logic and A.P.R.I.M.E. are known for. The B-side to the single, "Your Place (Or Mine...No Yours)" is a hilarious romp about the search to get laid. It will get groans from some people, but it's also going to make many people laugh as they identify with the hunt for a profitable sexual encounter.

Download ... The Hollowz "Dreams Of Sex And Flying"
This new The Hollowz has been sitting on my desktop for a few days. I finally had the opportunity to dig into Dreams Of Sex And Flying. Pretty dope project from the crew that delivered The Premonition EP last year. The Hollowz are no strangers to the blog, having been featured in our Milwaukee Journey to Hip-Hop series and on our Milwaukee's Best compilation. The new project has some pretty fresh production and some dope rhymes, that provide for some very personal tracks with great story lines. You can preview the project below. If you dig it, support independent music and buy it. Chea!
