Finally hitting you with the visuals (and live footage) of the Duck Down Tour that stopped at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT. This show was so damn dope. Adrenaline was rushing, crowd was nonstop loud, everyone was hyped. If you get a chance to see these heads rock, I suggest you go. 15 Year Anniversary Tour and they did not disappoint. Next Tuesday, October 19th, 2010 at this years CMJ Music Festival, two of the most highly respected NYC based hip hop labels will clash for one of this year's best showcases.

Duck Down vs Blacksmith CMJ Showcase will feature performances by Pharoahe Monch, Smif N Wessun & Pete Rock, Jean Grae, 9th Wonder & Buckshot, Sean Price featuring Heltah Skeltah, Skyzoo & !llmind, Team Facelift, Ruste Juxx, Promise, Torae, Strong Arm Steady, and special surprise guests. DJ Evil Dee will be providing the soundtrack throughout the evening. Hot 97's own DJ Peter Rosenberg will be hosting the event.

This memorable event will take place at Le Poisson Rouge located on 158 Bleeker St. (between Thompson and Sullivan) at 10PM. This is an 18+ event. CMJ Badge holders who are first to arrive will receive free access (limited-number).

THE 5th ANNUAL BROOKLYN HIP-HOP FESTIVAL

I received info a few weeks back on Brooklyn Bodega's Twitter page about a festival they're throwing for the 5th year. I visited their website and saw previous performers and this years performers and thought to myself, "For a small $10 donation, you're telling me I can check out all these artists? Where do I sign up?" You can't really beat that. For all the complaining we do about music, here's a great chance to support alot of established artists as well as hardly known / hardly heard of artists. I got my tickets. Excited to go and take lots of pics to blog about. I know it's gonna be a dope event. Check out the performers listed here...
