Rome Clientel - "Guts & Glory"

Elmira emcee and Golden Era recording artist Rome Clientel has taken a bit of a sabbatical following the release of The Empire 2: The Battlegrounds EP. As he continues to work on The Empire 3: The Coronation EP, the third one of the series, Rome is embarking on #TheConquest, a campaign of singles to demonstrate what he has in store moving forward.

The first release from #TheConquest is "Guts And Glory," a mellow offering produced by Damien Cornwell. Adding to the smooth beat is the live saxophone playing of Scott Mayo, known for being a member of the band for American Idol. Mayo has worked with other legendary artists including Sergio Mendes and Earth Wind and Fire.

Rome Clientel - "RVD"

Rome once again handles business, this time over a 9th Wonder instrumental. Gotta hand it to dude, he hasn't let me down at all. This track is yet more proof of that. He's been busy with a Golden Era Music compilation project and a solo album in the future.

Elmira's Rome Clientel releases a new track titled "RVD." The track, ironically (and quite unintentionally) released the day after Wrestlemania, finds Rome in his element, reflecting on his past and sizing up his future, delivering aggressive bars with his trademark gritty delivery. While initially recording this track over a beat that he produced himself, he decided that it fit better over an old 9th Wonder instrumental called "Dollar Circulate," and so he re-recorded it.

What I'm Watching: Rome Clientel - "Betta Luv Em"

Off of The Empire 2: The Battlegrounds EP, Rome Clientel drops some heat on the topic pf one of his favorite football players in RGIII. Peep it.

What I'm Watching: Rome Cliental "My Inner War"

At long last, I'm proud to share with you Rome Clientel's EP, The Empire 2: The Battlegrounds EP. Presented by the excellent folks at DJ Booth, this project features Rav P, Alias, Devon Wright, and Reks, with production coming from ATG, Kount Fif (of the Swashbucklers), Chaundon and the Gemstones, Parks, and Mr. Scott. The Battlegrounds represents the metaphorical battle an aspiring MC must wage to eventually carve his or her niche in an industry now flooded with rappers galore and not enough opportunities to shine and stand out.

Rome Clientel "You Want War"

"You Want War" is the third and final leak off The Empire 2: The Battlegrounds EP, sponsored by DJ Booth. Produced by Parks (the engineer over at HeadQuarterz studios) this is a much more aggressive and bellicose track than we've previously heard from Rome, fitting the theme of the project and contrasting with the previous record which featured Reks. Be on the lookout for The Empire 2: The Battlegrounds EP, dropping on Tuesday, October 16th.

Rome Clientel "One Life to Live" feat. Reks (Prod. by ATG)

This is the second single off Rome Clientel's The Empire 2: The Battlegrounds EP, sponsored by DJ Booth. This ATG-produced cut, featuring Boston great Reks, has both MCs chronicling their journey to reach this point, past all the obstacles that have stood in their path. Obviously, the journey hasn't ended for either of them (and in Rome's case, it has only begun), but at the end of the day, they only have one life to live and if the song is any indication, they are going to pursue this dream of theirs until the day they die.
