TMB Presents: Lance Drummonds "For Your Precious Love"
New York singer/songwriter Lance Drummonds covers For Your Precious Love. This joint was originally going to be on a project that I was working on but when it changed direction, I didn't want this track to go to waste. So here it is. It's so soulful. I hope you dig it! Chea!

Kaya "LoveLight"
"With your financial support, my world will change, and my most conscious and concerted effort to create a completed work of art will be enabled. I moved to New York City this summer to finish an album, and began working with management and producers who are supporting me in many ways. My time to create to completion is now."
Canadian songstress KAYA drops her new single, LoveLight, and launches her IndieGoGo campaign to fund her new album. Let the new track serve as inspiration to get behind a talented artist. Enjoy the music. Chea!

Jennifer Hudson "Love Is Bigger Than Fear" (Written by @kirbylauryen)
Kirby has been writing and singing for 167 days, as she marches on an ambitious journey to write a song a day. TMB has been there with her for more than one hundred days as she delivers song after song after song. More recently, in addition to writing material for herself, she's turned her attention to writing with particular music idols in mind. Just a few weeks ago, she wrote with Tyrese in mind. The power of social media allowed her followers to push it to their audiences, eventually catching his eye, leading to both a retweet and some words of encouragement.
That was cool.
As if that moment wasn't big enough, it got even bigger for Kirby less than 24 hours ago. This morning as I was getting ready for work at 3am (don't ask), I checked in on twitter (I'm an addict) catching wind that a song Kirby wrote with Jennifer Hudson in mind was being sung by Hudson during a live stream of a rehearsal. Further proving the power of social media, acting as an A&R/agent/publicist and more. Check out J Hud taking on Kirby's Love Is Bigger Than Fear. As a big supporter of Kirby, we're proud of her and this moment. We're sure she's on cloud nine. Awesome.

Rome Duran "Didn't I"
When Rome Duran's Straight to the Moon project first dropped, I gave it a quick listen and then forwarded it to TMB contributor EMS. She handles a lot of the R&B and soul stuff. It bounced around back and forth between us and then off to OC Supreme. Somewhere in that process it got lost in the mix. Sometimes that happens. But then I found myself stumbling back on it today and vibing. I'm happy I did. It's definitely a solid offering. Check out my favorite cut Didn't I and if you're so inclined, check the full project here. Chea!

Download ... DJ Cable & rockthedub.com present Big Tyme: A Tribute To Heavy D
Shoutout to homie Khal at RockTheDub.com for getting this mix out. Just like he said, there's plenty of folks putting together mixes for the late, great, and legendary Heavy D., and this is just a different version from across the seas. So hit play and reminisce on the greatness that was the Overweight Lover Heavy D. He will forever be missed. R.I.P. Heavy D.
As we all know, the Hip-Hop community and the world at large lost one of the true greats within the game, Heavy D. In going through his catalog, I realized that we needed a proper tribute to the man. Yes, I know Mister Cee, DJ Premier, Marley Marl and DJ Wonder (among others) cooked up mixes for their respective radio shows, and they are all ill, but I had the thought early (maybe the night he passed) for my boy DJ Cable, who is a talented, award-winning DJ from the UK as well as a lover of that '90s Hip-Hop and R&B, to cook up a tribute mix for rockthedub. He hit me back with 52 minutes of funk, with a number of classics and hits right alongside features and remixes he was a part of, spanning pretty much all parts of Heavy's career. It's a dope mix in the end, and something I'm glad to help present. Let's celebrate the life of Heavy D with this one.

What I'm Watching: Melanie Fiona "4am"
I feel the same way about this track now, that I felt back in August when I first wrote about it. Enjoy the video. Chea!
Why would you break Melanie Fiona's heart? Damn. Got her sitting up at 4am waiting for some ain't shit dude to return home. That's a shame. Mel, call a brother and let's figure out your heartbroken situation. I mean, you're pouring out your heart to some negro who's probably out with a dancer while we could be pouring out a glass of wine with some cheese and crackers. I'm high class. Allegedly, of course. What I'm Watching: Lance Drummonds "Long Drive"
Lance Drummonds offers up a cool video for his track Long Drive, which finds him cruising through his hometown of Elmont, Long Island and different boroughs in New York City. Real chill track and a mellow video shot in black and white with Andre Oswald behind the lens. I dig it. Enjoy.

What I'm Watching: Madame Sabrosa “Madame’s Room”
Folks have really been running with these Marv's Room remixes huh? Yep. But the dust seemed to have settled a bit and so Madame Sabrosa takes that opening to provide her own spin in Madame's Room. Fresh off her mixtape release, I dig what she did here. But, you be the judge. Enjoy.

What I'm Watching: Jill Scott “Hear My Call”
Sometimes all you need is just a single camera and some tight shots, and let the words tell the rest of the story. If you shed a tear, it's all good. Allegedly, of course. Enjoy the new video from Jill Scott for "Hear My Call."

Hypetrak Premiere: Rochelle Jordan "R O J O"
It's not all about Hip-Hop for me. I like to slow it down from time to time. And this joint here is so smooth. So gotdamn smooth in fact. The Toronto songstress Rochelle Jordan delivers up a solid project with her debut R O J O. Tracks like Earth To Your Brain, How to Feel and All I Know are some of the standout cuts on this cool 14 track project. Peep the visuals for Earth To Your Brain and check out the full project. If you dig it, download it. Enjoy. Chea!

Natasha Ramos "Marvin's Room"
While Marvin's Room might be over occupancy, Natasha Ramos makes room with her version of the Drake track that has seen a few (read: a lot) of covers/remixes. But of all of the joints I've heard, this is by far one of my favorites from the multi-talented songstress. She takes it from a different angle and I dig that. So, put that "not another Marvin's Room" thought to the side and hit play. You'll enjoy this joint. Chea!

Blair Perkins "1+1 (Beyonce Cover)"
I typically avoid covers like the plague just because. Maybe it's the over-saturation of 'em, I don't know. But damn this dude lays this joint out and it's hard to deny his talent. I caught this over on tumblr and felt the need to share with folks here. Enjoy. Chea!

R. Kelly "Motivation" Remix
"Baby I'm gonna be your motivation, take you to school and give you a sex education..."
As if Kelly Rowland’s “Motivation” wasn't successful enough, Kelz gives it a boost on the remix. After one listen, the only question I have is who's trying to get pregnant this Memorial Day weekend? Apparently any and everyone within listening range. Be safe. Enjoy. Chea!
