Download: Raheem DeVaughn - "King of Loveland" Mixtape

Raheem returns with a new mixtape for us and I can't be more amped. He's got a knack for making that R&B music that separates itself from the crowd and keeps his music in your rotation. This joint is free so click the link and get you some dopeness.

Raheem DeVaughn - "A Place Called Love Land" (Preview)

Preview Raheem's upcoming 9/3 release of "A Place Called Love Land" right now. He talks about the 8 tracks he's previewing before each song. I've been a fan of Mr. DeVaughn since his first album. This one sounds like it's on par with his other works. Peep it.

What I'm Watching ... The Floacist - "Keep It Going" feat. Raheem DeVaughn

The Floacist, aka Natalie Stewart, released her latest video off her album "Floetic Soul" today. This track features one of my other favorite newer R&B artists in Raheem DeVaughn. The album overall is a great work of art as I have always been a fan of Floetry as a group and individually. The Floacist come through poetically on this with visuals that are simple, yet creative. If you haven't purchased her album, I suggest you do that after checking out this video!

What I'm Listening To ... Raheem DeVaughn - "B.O.B."

Yeah. I'm zoning. This album is good. Real good. This song is creative. I like it. I like how he makes valid points on the situations with women and B.O.B. I guess there are pros and cons to every thing in life, huh? Haha. Check it.

And if you haven't copped the third album, The Love and War Masterpiece, don't be one of the few left out. This guy, for 3 albums already, has put out quality music. I definitely co-sign his work. But let the music speak for itself and you be the judge.

Lets Make The Next Krush Groove

If they made Krush Groove today, who would be featured in the flick? The 1985 movie featured heavy weights like Run DMC, The Fat Boys, Kurtis Blow, New Edition, Sheila E. and so many other cameos.

Let me throw out a few heads that would be dope in the newer flick … Little Brother, The Roots, Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Meth, Redman, KRS-One and Dead Prez. Maybe even feature cameos from heads like Kanye, Blu, Oddisee, Murs, Pharoahe, and Drake. I’m going to even throw Raheem DeVaughn, Alicia Keys, John Legend and Mary J. in for good measure. The cast possibilities are endless. What are your thoughts? Who would you throw in the mix?

Obviously, a classic is a classic and no need to recreate but how dope would it be to have another legendary hip-hop flick. I think we could use one. Just think of that soundtrack.
