What I'm Watching: Pusha T "Exodus 23:1"

"Ask Steve Jobs, wealth don't buy health ..."

Shit is real when diss tracks get videos. Well, except that MC Hammer Jay-Z record. Wasn't anything real about that garbage. Ha! But anyway, Pusha T drops off the visuals for the alleged Lil Wayne/Drake/YMCMB et al diss record. This further distances Pusha T from that Lil Wayne Goulish trash. I see Pusha T is hitting threes in the fourth quarter when he's already up by 25 with 18 seconds left. Sheesh.

What I'm Watching: Pusha T "Trouble On My Mind" feat. Tyler, The Creator

I've been a Pusha T fan. On his latest, "Trouble On My Mind", he returns to that Neptunes driven sound that I first discovered with his Clipse work but instead of Malice at his side, he's joined by Cali newcomer Tyler, The Creator. Truth be told, I dig much of Tyler's work too. Shocked? Don't be. Tyler is one hell of a storyteller and I like storytellers. I'm sure when many heard of the collab between the two, they saw two different artist without much in common. That's what makes this video so great, the merging of two worlds. I dig it. Enjoy. Chea!

What I'm Watching: Pusha T "Alone In Vegas"

"As the gull wing doors lift, Karate Kid crane kick, no Jaden Smith..."

First of all, this is one of my favorite Pusha T cuts off of his Fear of God project. His word play? Damn. You've gotta listen to his joints a thousand times to catch all the lines and you'll still miss a hundred of them. Pusha T is that dude and this video is dope too. You do realize that all of these videos are from tracks on a free mixtape, right? Gotta love that! Ha!

What I'm Watching: Pusha T "Blow"

"Waking up to models what a muthafuckin' life."

I've long been a fan of The Clipse, which means I've been a fan of both Malice and Pusha T. Something about their music has always resonated with me, sans all the drug references. Wait, without the drug references what the hell is left? Ha!

I mentioned the other day that I've appreciated the hustle behind Pusha T's solo effort with the free Fear of God project. The videos he's released have been in my opinion effective to continue to build the buzz for the Malice-less sound of a solo Pusha T. "Blow" is just another fine example of the lyricism of Pusha. He's a beast.

Enjoy the video. Chea!

Check It ... Pusha T "My God"

"My credit score let the dealer take full advantage ..." -Pusha T

This Pusha T track is dope. I'll need to listen to this a few more times to get more of the punchline references, some of which I may probably never catch in a lifetime. Ha! It's similar to every time I play a Clipse track, I catch something new. Anyway, this is a tagged version of the new track from Pusha, "My God." Enjoy. Chea!

Shouts to Andrew over at Prefix for the link.

G.O.O.D. Music's BET Hip-Hop Awards Cypher

By far the best cypher from the BET Hip-Hop Awards came from G.O.O.D. music. The other joints were pretty much hit or miss. And as much as I dig and support female rappers, Diamond was fail city. Yelawolf, killed. It's a shame that Diggy murked everyone in his cypher too. Anyway, enjoy the audio for Kanye West,  Pusha T, Big Sean, CyHi Da Prynce and Common's cypher. It's a video rip obviously, but enjoy nonetheless.
