If this new joint, "Summer" is any indication of what Natasha Ramos' new mixtape Piece 1 will be like, I'm excited! Yet again, she brings her fiery, passionate personality to the mic, and branches out into the rap game. Hit the play button below, and check out her latest featuring Dash and Prestige. "Nas said HipHop was DEAD. Arrested Development says HipHop has been buried alive."
For all my old music heads, if you didn't already know this, I think we should all be very excited to see Arrested Development hitting it hard with the new music. Speech drops MAJOR knowledge in AD's new joint "Living" released this past Spring. The lyricism, the music (REAL MUSIC), the visuals in the video... all ridiculously crazy amazing. This is what Atlanta music used to sound like. Not all this hippity hoppity shiggidy that's on the radio now. So if you've got some time, press play on this one right here, jump up out your seat (unless you're in the car), and rock to it. If you needed the proof, it's right here: Hip Hop ain't dead... Welcome back, Arrested Development. Welcome back.
Me equals excited! For whatever reason, Day26 crossed my mind today, and I thought I'd tool around the internets to see what they're up to. Although I'm 3 months late, they recently released new music and it also looks like they'll be dropping their third album A New Day this summer. I've always been such a fan of them for the simple fact that the dudes can really, really sing well. We haven't had a good/major R&B male group in an incredibly long time and I hope Day26 (and the fans) can bring that aspect of R&B music back to the forefront of the industry. As you can see from the photo, Qwanell "Que" Mosley is no longer with the group, but image that, they still sound amazing. They all look great, especially Mike! He's been doing the damn thing for the last few years. And as always, Robert's voice still makes me melt.
Check out their debut single from A New Day, "Made Love Lately." Enjoy.
I'm happy to see that Rahsaan Patterson is pushing some new music! Ever since his 1998 self-titled debut, I've been a huge fan. His most current album Bleupohria was released last year, and hopefully "Don't Touch Me" is a precursor to a new project.
