What I'm Watching ... Musiq Soulchild - "Yes"

Takes a strong individual to keep fighting a long fight and in this video and song, Musiq shows us what kind of person he is

Musiq Soulchild recently announced his new role as an Ambassador for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Circle of Promise, a movement designed to further engage black women around the globe in the fight against breast cancer.

Take a few minutes to check out Musiq's new video "Yes", which features breast cancer survivors from the metro Atlanta area. The video was directed by Juwan Lee.

What EMS Is Watching ... The Roots feat. Musiq - "Break You Off"

I swear I'm going to stop flooding the people with posts, BUT when I'm feeling something, I have to break you off. Ha. Perhaps I'm getting the Q trigger finger itch... *inside joke* Anyway, so when I did the Throwback Sessions w/ EMS ... The Roots feat. Erykah Badu - "You Got Me," I saw the "suggested video" of "Break You Off" (2002) and I'd never seen it. I know I'm late, but I'm here now. I've always thought The Roots were DOPE, but I haven't checked everything they've done. I listen to so much music in a day, it's hard to get it all in. The point is, I'm feeling this jawn and if you hadn't heard the song or seen the video, watch it! They've been in the game for so long and I give them so much love. They keep it real and they keep it interesting and unique. You pretty much can't go wrong when it comes to The Roots. So enjoy.

What I'm Listening to Right Now...Scratch

According to his MySpace profile, SCRATCH is a GRAMMY-winning Camden, New Jersey native who's upcoming album entitled "Loss 4 Wordz features artists Kanye West, Musiq, The Gorillaz, Peedi-Peedi and many more.During and after touring with the world famous Roots since 1998, Scratch has shared stages alongside Ludacris, Jay-Z, Eminem, James Brown, Usher, and Kanye West to name a few. Scratch has also appeared on various mixtapes and has guest appeared on numerous platinum albums.

I've been zonin' out to some of the cuts off his upcoming album Loss 4 Words which is set to be released in June of this year. It's a mix of R&B, Pop, Hip Hop and a Reggae influenced track. I'm liking what I'm hearing. Check out these three tracks!

"Let's Go featuring Peedi Crakk"

"Tonite featuring Musiq Soulchild"

"Ready To Go featuring Kanye West and Consequence"
