Interview: The Misnomer(s) Were Made in the USA
Asian. Female. Rap. Violin.
An unlikely combination, but one that works for the sound created by the Hip-Hop duo Misnomer(s). One part Knewdles (the emcee) and one part Sis On Strings (violin), the Brooklyn duo pushes the envelope with their music.
With the recent release of American I(s), Knewdles and SOS continue to deliver a sound that brings energy, raw talent and creativity. There is much depth to the project. As you'll read (in this interview) and hear (on their project), there's a genuine passion to explore and be themselves within the music they create. They do this on American I(s), making it an enjoyable listen.
I reached out to Misnomer(s) right before the release of American I(s) for a Q&A. Check out what they had to say about working with each other, their project and the future.

What I'm Watching ... KNEWDLES & SOS special (@Misnomers)
Maybe a year or so ago, I first discovered Misnomer(s), the Bed-Stuy Brooklyn duo. They're pretty fresh, with Knewdles on the mic and Sis on Strings on violin. They provide an interesting Hip-Hop sound that I dig. The duo will be releasing their new project, American I(s), September 30. In the meantime, they put out a two part video shot documentary style called, KNEWDLES & SOS special. It's a pretty cool look behind the scenes with some older footage of the group. Meet Misnomer(s). Check the vids after the jump.

Check It ... Misnomer(s)
Caught this video of Knewdles (MC and producer) and Sos (violinist and co-producer). Sound is dope and they are definitely talented. Together the Korean sisters make up the crew, Misnomer(s). The video includes Chesney on beat box. As always, figured I’d share.
