e.d.g.e. "Syndication" (Prod. by Madden Miles)

As you may recall, not too long ago we teamed up with Wisconsin beat maker Madden Miles and released A Beat For You [The Donny Hathaway Beat Tape]. And now we're in the process of pulling together a vocal version of that project, featuring some TMB favorites to collab on the EP. TMB Presents: Madden Miles "A Beat For You [The Donny Hathaway Beat Tape]"

Back at the end of September / beginning of October we linked up again with Wisconsin beatmaker Mark V, going by the alias Madden Miles now, for a new project. As I mentioned before, while a majority of this site is dedicated to Hip-Hop, I have a fond appreciation for soul music. Fond appreciation may actually be an understatement. I love soul music. Which obviously makes sense considering Hip-Hop is fused with soulful undertones by way of rhyme and often times production.

To me, Donny Hathaway was one of those artist that defined soul, and his music embodied every ounce of it. So, I challenged Madden Miles to make a beat tape with Hathaway samples. And the man delivered. Crafting nine tracks, he added to the smooth sound of Hathaway but kept intact the essence of a Donny track. I'm proud to present A Beat For You [The Donny Hathaway Beat Tape]. TMB Presents: "A Beat For You" Produced by @therealmarkv

We linked up with Wisconsin producer Mark V again on a new project. While most of this site is dedicated to Hip-Hop, I have a fond appreciation for soul music. Actually, I love soul music. I guess that makes sense considering Hip-Hop is fused with soulful undertones by way of rhyme and often times production.

Donny Hathaway was one of those artist that defined soul and is among my favorites. A few months ago we linked up with NYC based producer Jinesis for Otisis, a beat tape of Otis Redding samples. Along the same lines, we're working with Mark V on a beat tape with Hathaway samples. This is the title track from the new project, A Beat For You [The Donny Hathaway Beat Tape]. TMB Presents: Mark V "Season Change" (A Beat Tape)

If you're on twitter and you make music, whether you're a producer or emcee, and you aren't using it to network then you aren't using it right. But who am I to tell you how to use social networking. However, I've watched some amazing collabs come together via twitter and TMB has also connected with some very talented folks via the network to present some projects.

That leads us to our latest collaboration with Wisconsin producer Mark V. The beat maker out of Racine has been making beats for about seven years on and off again. He's coming off a two year hiatus and a Miltown Beat Down feature and linked up with us for a project we're calling Season Change. You know, it's August and we're quickly approaching the end of summer and the beginning of fall. Mark V. flips some soulful samples and creates the perfect backdrop for the transition from the warm weather of Summer and cool breeze of Fall.

The Mad Bloggers fucks with producers. Believe that. We fucks with some very talented folks from all over the world. We've featured a gang of beatmakers on these pages and recently started branching out to presenting joints. We linked up with Mark V out of Wisconsin on a dope project called Season Change. His beat turnaround was phenomenal. Coming off a bit of a hiatus and a Miltown Beat Down feature, Mark V is back to work crafting some fresh beats with some soulful samples.
