Slaughterhouse came through CT once again but after a longer time in the industry, folks must have been a lot more hip to who they were because the place was packed as hell. Wall to wall fans lined up to see these four lyrical monsters do what they're known to do on the mic. Their personalities on Twitter and their video blogs, which is up to number 6 now, add a lot to who these guys are which in turn brings more fans to the show. But let's not forget, the homies Duece Bug, Chuck Nickels, and White Cheddar helped get the night started. With their energetic stage presence, these cats spit lyrics after lyrics while using practically every inch of the stage to liven up the crowd. Overall, it was a dope ass night. You could feel the intensity in the air and that Hip-Hop was definitely in the building. If you missed it or want to relive it, check these photos and videos out. Shoutout to my friend E for helping me shoot some of the show. Also, peep our Facebook page for even more photos. (Link on the right.)
Those KingHellBastard boys are bad. Bad meaning good. Ha! With Joell Ortiz on the feature and White Shadow on production, the Milwaukee collective deliver up Commercial Free from their new LP The WarRoom due out in December on Uni.Fi Records. Solid track and as Common says in the sampled hook, this is real hip-hop music from the soul ya'll. Enjoy. Chea!
Here's a fresh cut from The Fall Guys featuring Mr. Yaowa aka Joell Oritz and I20. Digging the cuts on this joint that's produced by DJ PAIN1 and overall, I'm looking forward to the "Clocked In" mixtape that's being hosted by Royce Da 5' 9".
I know, I know. This ain't new. Do I care? Nah. But I still think this track is pretty ill and I don't hear it talked about enough. So for those of you that haven't heard it, check it out now!
Another good track brought to you by Joell Ortiz and Novel. Seems to be a pretty good team, them two. Feeling the lyrics on this one right about now. That Night Train ain't no joke. Check it.

Copywrite's "Three Story Building" featuring Dilated Peoples and MF Grimm is from his upcoming sophomore album "Life and Times of Peter Nelson" which will be released by Man Bites Dog Records on 11/16/2010.
Check out the latest by Chris Webby featuring Joell Ortiz. It's definitely a different sound on this one due to the sampling of La Roux's Bulletproof track. Listen and tell us what y'all think.
Connecticut's own Chris Webby is putting the finishing touches on his upcoming mixtape (still untitled) that will be dropping this fall and it will feature Joell Ortiz, Big K.R.I.T (among others) and production from Doc Ish and Cinematic Music's Johnny Shipes.
The first leak from that forthcoming mixtape is "Bulletproof" f/Joell Ortiz and produced by Evo--and the track samples La Roux's smash hit "Bulletproof."
Check out Joell Ortiz's The Yaowa Mixtape Tour at Southpaw (Brooklyn), September 30. Doors at 8, show at 9. $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Looks like a pretty dope line up.
Joell Ortiz is a beast. A lot of folks don't recognize that however. Anyway, check the vid for "Sing Like Bilal" off Joell's Farewell Summer EP. Enjoy. Yaowa!
I have to. Sue me. But I have to post another song off their album. I hope, no, I pray that you purchased the SLAUGHTERHOUSE album. Especially if you have been crying about what's the radio been playing, if you even listen to that shit box. Here are four of some of the illest MCs in the game as we speak. You let me know who can challenged them solely then you tell me who can as a group? I'm sure there are many that may and I may even agree on some of them. But this album is a must for any lyrical enthusiast. This track is definitely one of my favorites on the album. Check it out......
One of the highly anticipated albums dropped August 11th. So far, the buzz is mostly positive. I personally think the album is hot. Lyrics are abundant and insane. Production is tight and complementing. They each show up on this album and I can't find much to argue about. Hope you got it. Check out this track that didn't make the cut titled "Warriors".
Shout out to Got That Good?'s blog for this video. Slaughterhouse's 1st single off their upcoming album that will be released August 11th. Check out the video and cop the album when it drops!
